Help
Talk to your GM and see what he/she says. Basically this is kind of game dependent.

We have a player in our group doing the exact same thing . Playing a Togruta with 4 Cunning, 3 Agility, 3 int. The Archaeologist has plenty of Int & Cunning skills. Wouldn't play much different than a scoundrel, Indiana Jones-type. I know that many groups try to fit each person into a role, but I wouldn't even focus on the skill(s) you provide the party. Why's the character fun to play? What does he want to do in the galaxy? Does he take the lead in doing something or just sit around waiting for the group to need a Knowledge check made? I wouldn't THINK "Archaeologist" unless he's employed by a museum, or something, within the campaign. Explorer is the career. You should like to go and see new places. Maybe he has an insatiable need to learn about new things? in some campaigns, he could be looking for Jedi/Sith artifacts. This class has enough Cunning skills and Well-Rounded gives you something like Streetwise and Skulduggery to play like a rogue/thief-type.
In our campaign, all of the characters have a reason to venture out and start over. This character specialized in tracking down and retrieving items. He likes the history. He likes the challenge. And it pays well. When he was about to turn an item over to a client, he received an overwhelmingly bad feeling about doing so (Force Sense powers manifesting) and refused to hand the item over.
The Archaeologist in the group I just finished running gave himself a 4 Int and 4 Agil. He was easily the most lethal guy for ages in that group. He was never afraid to upgrade gear and was always looking for his next best gun. For whatever reason my guys are just not gear centric, he is. He helped by dumping MF-ers left and right. He also rocked his Knowledge checks constantly. Used his knowledge of rare antiquities to draw up some BS shipping manifests to smuggle spice in a fake sarcophagus.
A good place to start is by looking at the skills you have a big (3+) dice pool in, thanks to your characteristics, that are unrelated to your Career. These are the skills you may not be trained in, but your natural affinity makes you better than average at them.
Get creative about the use of Knowledge skills, listen to episode 32 of the Order 66 Episode , scrub forward to 16:50 to get to "the meat" of the show. Keep in mind its over 2 years old, so quite a lot has been added to the system since then, but the ideas are still very relevant.
Also O66 episode 52 is full of ideas on Archeologists and how to play them, scrub to 23:55 for "the meat".
Beyond that we will need more specific information on your characters stats and equipment as well as what the rest of the party does, not to mention some campaign information to guide our suggestions.
These have very been helpful, thanks. I will ask my Gm to take a look at my character sheet to give more info to help with your replies. Otherwise thanks for the help so far.
