Matt-Shadowlord vs Maturin is complete.

As predicted, the intel sweep points were absolutely vital in this game: Maturin's fleet just doesn't give up points easily, and killing fully loaded Bright Hope and Quantum storm and his admiral plus a Y, X and Hwk still only yielded 108 pts to the 142 he scored from my frigate and 4 squadrons (note to Maturin: not 180, I accidentally counted Akbar as dead when I did the maths in the game )

One of my favourites as well! Turns out putting all your eggs in one basket by making your flagship the objective ship isn't really a good idea, even if it IS Bright Hope. Great game where I got a little bit lucky at first, but Matt salvaged a victory with his consummate skill.

He was 1st, picked my Intel Sweep.

His Liberty, 4 flotillas and 12 A-wings vs. my Ackbar H1.

Lots of flotillas died (all save one), and my Assault frigate. With him as 1st player it was in a bad place from the start, and without ECM it died with a lot of shields still left.

I also missed an intel token by 1 pixel, which meant we went 2-2 in tokens.

His A-wings did very little, except brawl with my A-wings a pink a few shields.

Fun game. Quite different from most.

Moodswing vs. Comatose, I had bid and went first choosing minefields

258 vs. 104 for a 154 MoV to me. (8-4)

Comatose setup mines to cut off one half of the board, which I mostly avoided. Two TRC90 attempted it, one was successful but thankfully the other only took a face down (thank the gods no one had to wake Dodonna up ....lol). Liberty and home one both pushed squads in a line toward me (4 x wing covering 4 b wings), and I tried to gum up the works with my 7 a wings best I could. Luckily, Toryn "Jamie " Farr was watching over them and they gave as good as they got and all squads went away. like....all of them. Total annihilation. During this fierce scrap in the middle, my MC 30 was able to get in the front arc of home one with a double arc, taking out alot of shields. Then that crazy lando went and did a crazy lando ram and not move maneuver and stayed in the front arc, sticking Home one in place with two TRC90 working their way into the front arc as well. Liberty just barely missed killing the MC30 and it was there to double tap home one to death the next rnd. the rest of the ships were happy to get the h e l l away from the liberty while the final squads were destroying each other.

I learned a ton from Comatose in this game, and look forward to playing him again in the future. It was truly an awesome game to play.

I thought Matt Antilles was going to post the result of our game, so I didn't record the exact MoV (30ish) but he won 6-5. He was first player and picked my precision strike.

Meant to do this over the weekend. As JJ said, I was First Player and chose Precision Strike. Final score was 6-5 (271- 238) MOV of 33. JJ did an expert job of keeping a bunch of obstacles between his Assault Frigates and my fleet. I had to boost up to Speed 4 on Round 1 and fly through a massive cloud of very angry Y-wings. Admonition took a round and a half of full Y-wing fury and barely escaped by the skin of his teeth. Both of our TRC90s had a jousting match and a lucky Accuracy on my part got me the kill, but was badly mauled in the process. Then I foolishly sent it in to kill a flotilla instead of jetting off into the sunset and his squadrons finished it off. I managed to kill one of his Assault Frigates and badly mauled the other, which just barely survived. He killed my Bright Hope and Quantum Storm. There was a lot of card flipping and token scoring in this game, 8 tokens for me, 7 for JJ. Overall it was very intense and fast paced from out of the gate. JJ's deployment forced me to either blaze into the squadrons or risk not being able to engage his fleet. Great game, I learned a lot.

I'll be available this Thursday and/or Friday evening, if someone wants to get some more games in.

PT- I am Pacific time and have a game for this evening, and depending on how it goes, may be up for another Thursday if that works. 9:30 Pac is pretty late EST however.

Whew.... so Skycake and I went at it tonight, and just had to call the game midway because it was getting late, but boy oh boy is it gonna get messy when we pick up tomorrow night.

Skycake is fielding a nasty decked out VSD with H9 Turbo's, QTC, and Warlord for massive damage potential, along with the always scary Demo and a com net Gozanti. He rounds it off with a 14 point bid and a well rounded compliment of fighters that, while none have the bomber trait, has Vader and IG-88 which are already plinking away shield after shield with their effective anti-ship dice.

I am bringing a Mothma MC30 MSU to the table, with 3 MC30 (Admo, Fore, and a Lando-Wagon), a Jainas Light TRCR90, and 2 Transports, one coms net and one Bright Hope/Slicer Tools. A single A-Wing provides "Phoenix-Squadron" style squad support.

We are playing Dangerous Territory and the first two turns have been careful navigating on both of our parts. I have claimed a couple tokens, and Sky has nabbed one as well. His VSD-I is just out of black range, but it has gunnery teams and is in red range of all 3 MC30, 2 in the front and 1 in the side. Sky's Demo also has been rolling slow and banking tokens but now is pointed straight toward the MC30 conga line ready to plow right into it.

We are going to finish up tomorrow night at 9:30pm pacific time, if any is up and wants to stop in to say hi or see some fireworks.
