I asked myself the same question before I posted. The answer: because I don't want to think I qualified and then the math gets corrected and I'm no longer qualified.

Imperial players just take the qualification if mistakenly offered...

129 hit points worth of squadrons went into this game, so it turned into a bloodbath in the centre. I think an early move I did to leap over the xwing screen and take out the Intel ship made a big difference to the game - it did mean I lost those squads, but it kept the Ywings from running rampant and turned it into the ship-vs-ship squadron-vs-squadron skirmish that's easier to survive.

Good game, very well played by JJ.

Cracken's Rebel Operatives(400pts) vs. SoonerTed's double Vic1 build(400pts) needed a coin toss to determine initiative with Ted correctly calling heads and choosing second player. I chose his Minefield Objective. The battle turned into a one sided contest due to some super hot rolling by my early squadrons with Toryn Farr to help them out. Cracken's ability enabled me to skirt the Vic's at red/blue range and dished out more damage than they took due to Ted's very cold dice. I think the game could have turned into much more of a blood bath if each side had average dice. Ted is a great guy and I hope he had fun in the game.

Anyone available to play tonight?

Just finished up a bit of a marathon against SoonerTed. emfrank72 defeats SoonerTed 392 to 248 for a 8 to 3 win with a MOV of 144. The objective was Contested Outpost and I pretty much camped on it with my ISD for the first four rounds to get an easy 80 points. My ISD and squads set up opposite of his fleet which were set up facing left so I place Demolisher on the upper right hoping to catch him from the rear in the later rounds which worked wonderfully although my ISD could have used some support once all three of his Nebulon Bs turned straight on into the ISD. My squads spent the game tracking his down and destroying them. I ended up losing 7 of my 11 to take out his 7 but since mine were TIEs and a couple of TIE advanced, I made out pretty good in that point exchange. The only problem was that it left my ISD on its own which eventually succumbed to concentrated fire and some kamikaze runs from the the Nebs but it did take 2 of them out. On turn 6 Demolisher finally caught up to Redemption and finished it off.

SoonerTed's Intel Officers were apparently sleeping at there posts until the last couple of rounds so didn't make the impact that SoonerTed was hoping for. Luckily Darth Vader doesn't put up with that but now that I think of it, I could have inteled Bright hopes scatter which may have helped me out. Time for Vader to force choke that dude. So I'd say we both made pretty poor usage of intel officers. Also when Demo is firing at Nebs with 2 braces, Intel officer with no accuracies isn't all that helpful.

SoonerTed's transports only received damage from bumping into own ships.

Again a good game and it could have gone either way with a couple different decisions here or there.
