I have a 6:30 central time game already, so it would have to be later in the evening.

Maturin wins against emfrank72 104 to 95 with a MOV of 9 which I believe equates to a 6-5 victory or 7-6 since we were picked to be game of the week.

Maturin was first player and picked Dangerous Territory for the mission. We both played very cautiously and no capital ships were at serious risk of getting destroyed. His Quantum storm came closest when it landed on an astroid to get an objective on the first turn and turned over a structural damage. The closest my flagship came to destruction was the possibility of flying off of the table on the last turn but it just made it.

In my opinion, I felt that neither of our squadrons were that effective. I really expected that I was in trouble but besides destroying my squads, they didn't do that much damage to my ISDs. I am curious what the battle would have looked like if I had my original plan for this list which would have had Howlrunner and a bunch of TIEs.

He kept his transports out of range from my ISDs the entire game. I had one chance to shoot at long range from the rear but with scatter and evade, why bother.

Maturin was a great opponent and it was an enjoyable match. Thanks for the great game.

Fun game emfrank72! I don't usually get a chance to be first player so I think I was thrown off a bit by that. Taking the time for my Liberty to flank around reduced my firepower from it quite a bit...I think I got 2 chances to first/last, and neither was a double arc. And both rolls kinda whiffed (doing no more than 3 damage either time!!).

I had hopes of taking Motti's ISD out, but when you went to speed 3 I knew I couldn't take it down. I probably should have focused more on a single ISD rather than split my bombers up.

Lesson learned: Don't try to kill two Motti'd ISD's in the course of a game. Focus on one.

Roquax and I are playing at 8pm EST. I'm using the same list as my other two games.
