I also noticed the movement upgrade just said a Move manoeuvre, so Engage/Disengage is included, nice.
Or the yv-666?
Ok does anyone actually have the book yet? I see people talking about stuff that sounds like they have it but its still listed as shipping rather then in stores.
If anyone has it what ships and vehicles are in it?
I might suggest re-reading my posts, starting with the one just below Lando's awesome crotch on page 24, and you'll get an idea of what's going on...

What can I say? You have all the information!!!
So some ideas to chew on with Unmatched Devastation. If all you aspire to is to bust out the calculator and see what the total # of pistols you can carry with encumbrance rules, or are looking for the loophole in the verbiage, so be it. However, keep in mind for the xp you'd sink into this SA you could accomplish the exact same thing with a tricked out autofire gun for zero xp much easier.
Seems like a belt full of Bolas and stun grenades would be more interesting, and more effective, and lighter. Go full Batman, some smoke grenades, grapnel launchers, etc.
How about Jackie Chan the Martial Artist? A little Iron Body and Precision Strike(s) and there'd be people all over. Boy o boy a Trandoshan or a Whiphid just got scarrryyyyy-er. Your dukes don't add encumbrance either...
I do tend to be exceptionally well-informed, yes . One of the perks of being a Mystic with the Seer specialization, I'll admit !
One of the things I DON'T know, however, is why the smilies in my posts are all broken >_< ! Whether I type them on my phone or my computer, they don't show up! But the ones other people use still do, so it's not that my devices are having trouble with those specific images or anything...
EDIT: And that's a very good point, Mr. Pirate! Although I would technically say that unarmed attacks don't count attacking with a fist, and then a knee, and then a shoulder, and then your head, as different weapons. The "weapon" is unarmed combat. So it would be good for only one of your potential five attacks. But you're right, rare or custom grenades, ensnaring weapons, and random things lying around and wielded as improvised weapons would be awesome! Combine with the Recruit's Creative Killer and your Martial Artist is now, TRULY, Jackie Chan !

Aww, but that's HAAARD ! Especially on my phone! And my fingers are so used to just typing the characters I need, that's really gonna slow me down...
But if I must, then I must; I can't live without my cheeky emoticon !

Aaand now my OCD is forcing me to go back and correct them all now that I have a work-around. * sigh *...
Can't have blank thingys.....just will not do.....
You don't know the HALF of it. My Brain is VERY demanding, and when she decides something needs to be done, she WILL NOT shut up about it until I do it.
Why do you think I do half of the crazy things I do around here ?

Because you're a Jedi, and the mysteries of the Force are inexplicable.

One of these statements is true; the other, false. I'll let you decide which is which ...
I think I already know.

Everyone has quirks. Can't stand it when my posts right columns aren't justified. 90% of my edits are fixing that.

Different also means different, as in different weapons, not different order of same weapons. The SA lets you move constantly potentially while you're using it, be a little creative, and not just a min/maxer. Carrying 5 pistols would be a pain in the @$$. You'd be encumbered to just pop this once a session with your 5 pistols, and not have all manner of other things readily available because of it.
So as you use the weapons on you and drop them, or stow them, whatever, you're on the move, snatching bottles off the bar and chucking those, throwing a stool, the wrench on the work bench, the blaster the first guy you killed dropped, etc. Don't be a gun store display with a name, make a story and a character, not a 'win button'.
Not trying to power game it. Trying to makes sure I know how it works.

OK, but whether it's power gaming or not, the way your wrapping your head around it doesn't make any mechanical sense. Even if you can do the switch back and forth between pistols, which I think is playing semantics with the definition of 'different', regardless it gets progressively harder with each attack. So the question then becomes why would you spend the 130 xp that you have to sink into a SA to max it on something that is harder to accomplish and less effective than an autofire gun? The question's rhetorical obviously, you wouldn't, so then how is this SA great?
That's when you apply a little creativity and realize grenades are a good option mechanically, low encumbrance, can be dual wielded, certainly aren't going to be used more than once, can effect greater numbers beyond the target. and certain varieties have numerous fantastic weapon effects.
That's my point, you're trying to be as low cost with pistols as you can, and that's probably about the worse application of this. So you're trying to understand an application that isn't really very good whether it's rule legal or not. Throwing 4 or 5 Bolas and only needing to succeed with a Triumph, and not concerned with Soak, which could end an entire fight single handedly without a drop of blood spilled? Very cool. Shooting pistols 5 times on 5 targets? Not so interesting when you think about it, at least not 130 xp cool imo.

Understanding the limits and making sure you are clear on what is ok and what is not ahead of time I find to be a good idea. Hence asking the question. Hence my comment the long version of the talent is likely more clear...
I don't recall the precise wording, but the versions I put in my post include my "clarifications" after I read everything and understood it, while trying to make them as concise as possible. I do recall that the SA went out of its way to mention different weapons multiple times, so I'm almost positive the intention was that each combat check needed to be made with a different weapon than all the others.
Admittedly, this is a little frustrating - I can't clarify further 'cause I don't have the book to quote it to you, and Mr. Pirate probably could clarify further, but he can't 'cause the book technically isn't released until Thursday, and he has to keep his mouth shut until then .
