I am curious how Wizards is able to nail an exact release date five months out, but FFG gives a three-month window on their releases and can't seem to make those as of late. I mean that as no slight to FFG, I'm just genuinely curious.
No Distintegrations

Wizards has the monolithic Hasbro machine behind it.
Probably a different printing company, but more importantly, WotC is a much larger game publisher and thus their print runs are likely to be considerably larger and as such WotC has more "pull" with their suppliers and more likely to be able to force compliance with delivery terms.

It's because of the narrative, man! Enjoy the Despairs on your shopping roll, they make for a better story.

It's also possible that Wizards' release dates are specifically engineered to come a month or two after their product has arrived in the States. So it would like like this:
FFG orders a book. It goes to the printers and they give it a release date about three months out. Three months later, it's still "on the boat," and takes an extra two to three weeks before it's in the warehouse and then out to the store.
WotC orders a book. It goes to the printers and they give it a release date five months out. Three months later, it's still "on the boat," and takes an extra two to three weeks before it's in the warehouse. No big deal, they still have six weeks until their announced release date.
For many months, Cool Stuff Inc. has had an expected release date of "December 2016".
However, they just updated the status to a specific date.
"February 2, 2017"
That is incredibly demeaning to my sex, and very hetero-centric!
...I might try it...for the book >_< ...
Awww... That's so sad!
That's also demeaning. And inconsiderate. Demand at least
two
copies.

I'm forgetting names, but from the O66 podcast (which I haven't listened to in a long time) I believe there are at least 2 female developers, if you'd more comfortable or think you'd have better luck flashing them.
If you find a female developer, Elias can do it.
That's very interesting, Lifer, great catch! Which, if accurate, means not only is my (current) current prediction accurate (yay!), but it would mean that we basically need to start shopping today.
So eagle eyes on that Upcoming page, everybody!

You don't want me flashing them. I don't think there's enough setback dice on the planet to roll that check.

Very well said
. I wish I could say the same thing, and if I could, I probably wouldn't even be joking about this.
Now listed as Shipping Now! And it includes the US Release Date as 2/2.

Happy day! Now, just two weeks to go...
I have to say, I love the Exploits. Cause too much collateral damage and get a bonus to Coercion but a penalty to Negotiation. Very flavorful.
Huzzah!!! The mystery is over!
The light flame projector amuses me. "Don't worry, I'm only going to spray them with a little bit of burning chemicals. They'll be fine."

you look cold...let me light you only a little bit on fire...
Build a man a fire, and he's warm for the rest of the day. Set a man on fire, and he's warm for the rest of his life.
This is sooooo typical. The only splat my gaming group is waiting for and the GM fancies a swap to D&D 5th Curse of Strahd.
