I just hope this book has the Novasword. It the highest ranking Starfighter on my Star Wars favorite Legends Starfighter model list not in the FFG material so far and its BG mentions it being used by Bounty Hunters a lot.
No Distintegrations
Does the bug-eyed one from ESB have species stats?
Those are called Gand, and yes, they're in the Edge of the Empire core book pon page 47.
That's a Gand? I thought the one on the far right was the Gand. I was talking about the one to the left of him.
As far as species - what about Mandalorian Humans? Perhaps with a rank in Resilience and Ranged (Heavy)?
They are going to be in the upcoming AoR adventure Friends Like These in which they will get stats and there will be a write up on Mandalorian culture. While it's possible for a repeat I don't think they'd repeat with two products releasing so close to one another.
Edited by KaelThe Gand is on the end, the one next to him is a droid, look at his legs.

That is 4-LOM . He's a LOM series protocol droid. Unlike Threepio, who was made to appear human to appeal to human clients, a LOM droid is made to look like a Gand to interact more effectively with insectoid species like the Verpines or Brizzits.

Lanik came out in both Keeping the Peace and Lead By Example within months of each other, so there is the possibility of that repeat.
I do wonder what Bounty Hunters are in the Star Wars Cannon that could be here, i don't know Rebels all that well, and my memory of CW stuff is shoddy, but there where a couple in the Prequels, plus the collection thats already accounted for in the OT.
Mandalorians seem fitting. But my hunch is that FFG's idea behind putting Mandalorians in Friends Like These is to boost the sales of that adventure buy filling it with resources for more people than just the GM. Putting PC options in, and especially the iconic Mandalorians makes it a much more appealing product, something that all their Region and Career books have benefited from immensely. Repeating them anywhere else would just hurt sales of FLT IMHO

It's very easy to get them confused. So easy in fact that Kenner originally released their action figures with their names swapped between them.

The Clone Wars featured quite the menagerie of bounty hunter, some we've seen, some we've not. The episode Bounty Hunters (Embo and Sugi's debut) featured the small, currently unknown species that Seripas belongs too, and the Frenk . Although seeing as the introduction of the Kyuzo was kind of a unique situation, and those two are similar in status, it's unlikely. Unless LFG has asked for more species to be included, which could very well be, because they won't reveal future details.
Anyway, the episode entitled Bounty had a smaller group of recognizables and droids, but Latts Razzi, a Theelin , was kind of notable. Theelin also appeared in RotJ as one of Jabba's slave girls. One of Cad Bane's episodes featured a Clawdite infiltrator, and then you have Zam Wessel from AotC.
That picture also features a Phindian , a Snivvian , a Selkath , and a Parwan , and the Frenk again (fifth from the left). Of those, I think only the Parwan originate in TCWs, and they all have backstory that FFG could draw on. Another episode featured a Siniteen (originally appeared in ANH in the cantina) bounty hunter/mercenary hired by the Republic to train clone troopers.
Of course, we have the Ubese kind-of-sort-of appearing in RotJ. The Defel appeared in ANH (and yes, they are canon too), and they kind of have a bounty hunter stick which from the EU. TFA featured a number of new species that could be, and I listed some before.
So that's 11+ possibles I can think of in just a few minutes, not accounting for the possibility of reprints (Devaronian, Shistavanen, Kyuzo, Zabrak).

None of the books have included species-specific rules other than their specific starting bonuses or abilities. However, including a few pieces of Mandalorian-specific technology under equipment or vehicles seems like a reasonable request.

The Kyuzo warshield is pretty specific though, right?!

I think Dakkar might have meant by rules as "I hope we get the stats for Mandalorians." Which we will be getting in Friends Like These, at least.
And there are mountains of culture-specific equipment, so it's not so much an unreasonable request so as nothing special, and pretty routine at this point.
Since we're talking about Mandalorians again I shall chime in!
I think that we will get Mandalorian human stats. Boba Fett was the first really iconic Bounty Hunter, and was Mandalorian, so it would seem a little odd not to put them in. I get the idea that they might not since Friends Like These comes out around the same time, but not everyone is going to buy both Friends Like These and No Disintegrations. And as we've already seen, FFG does species cross-overs between all three CRB's and their supplements.
This would also make sense for us to see Mando gear and weapons in No Disintegrations, too, which I think we will.
I also would like to see Ubese and I think Clawdite would probably fit too.
But a picture of Boba Fett on the cover just screams 'MANDOS!' to me, who are famed throughout the galactic underworld for their hunters. I think that it would be odd not to include them.
And one day, my Mandalorian Sector book will arrive..........
Maybe. I can dream.

Sure, they've repeated information across the lines, but have they ever done so in such close proximity before? (FLT is projected for early December release; ND was announced after FLT, but also for Q4. Unless Absol's most recent theory is correct, and ND is further along than FFG wants us to think, that's only a couple of weeks between them if ND keeps that Q4 release.)
That sort of thing is my only REAL concern about ND: there's potential for a healthy portion of the book to be reprinted material, between Mandalorians and armor crafting. While both subjects make sense to include, I don't want too much recycled material stacked on top of one another.

If I recall right Keeping the Peace was part of that whole bundle of books that kinda had their schedules screwed with due to the shipping strike. We got a lot of things at one time that I don't think we normally otherwise wouldn't have. Though you are right the possibility remains that they may still print them back to back.
The soldier book had four species, and was the first career book to do so. Sector books, sure, but we're talking careers.
I bet this will also have four, and I bet it will use this leverage to include 3 newcomers + 1 reprint. The reprint will be Mandolorian.
Actually, I bet it will have rules for making any species a mandolorian version. Give up starting skills, give up a rank in a talent for some other talent, or cut XP by so much for an amount of credits to be spent on arms and armor. Something like that.

Is this how you think that the Madalorian Humans from Friends Like These will be presented?

I think they will lean more towards the current Disney presentation of Mandolorian as a human off shoot than something anyone can become as was the case in Legends.

You just beat me to it. Long ago in the Expanded Universe, Mandalorians were treated as a way of life, people from any background of any species who followed a warrior code. Since the Clone Wars cartoon that has totally changed, Mandalore is a planet and Mandalorians are its inhabitants. And for the most part, the people of the planet have embraced a more pacifist lifestyle, with only groups like Deathwatch clinging to the old warlike ways. What a Mandalorian is, by canon, is completely different.

Friends Like These will likely be our best source to answer what the canon Mandalorian truly is since the book will also go into their culture as well as basic stats. So even if we do see Mandalorians in this book I suspect fans of them will want the AoR adventure as I have my doubts the BH book will go too deeply into the culture aspect. If they show up I expect them to get about the same amount of coverage most species get in other career books. I imagine Friends Like These will have a bit more detail dedicated to them.

The Planet "Mandalore" also existed in the old canon. It is/was a place of significance to the people who call themselves mandalorians but it was never not required to live there. Since it is not defined in the new canon where the old-way-mandalorians live it is no problem for me to place two civilisations on the same planet. That is common on other planets in the galaxy too. The "new" mandalorians live in the desert under their glass cupola, the followers of the old ways have their center in the town of keldabe in the northern hemisphere of the planet. In every source mandalore is despicted as having a very low population density with only 4 or 5 millions (!) on a earth-sized planet so there is pretty much room for both factions.
Weird how Disney gets the "blame" for this while the Clone Wars cartoon depiction of Mandalore was pre-Disney and all George...
Mandalorians: the least interesting and most hotly contested commodity in the Star Wars universe!

Mandalore in The Clone Wars very much defined as the home world of all Mandalorians. This all came down from Lucas and Filoni who also wanted to portray the militant faction of Mandalorians as evil knights in matching Jango Fett-style silver armor.
If you're basing your statement on the SW Atlas entry for Mandalore, that text is no longer canonical.

Don't underestimate fan zeal for cool costume designs. But, yeah, it's a really tired discussion.
Edited by Concise LocketWeird how Disney gets the "blame" for this while the Clone Wars cartoon depiction of Mandalore was pre-Disney and all George...
Because Disney removed the setting material that had the details that people wanted. The Clone Wars presentation of them made a canon statement about what they were in the "modern" era of Star Wars. But due to the flexibility of canon material the older material still applied, sans contradictions that would make the Clone Wars the correct view. Now the only material that exists on them is what we see in Clone Wars (and soon to be Rebels episodes). That would be the fault of Disney (do note though that I'm not implying there should be any anger directed at Disney).
Granted this is an RPG so you know you are free to use whatever version of Mandolare you like. But based on the new knowledge gleaned from Order 66 odds are high that FFG will lean closer to what Disney wants than what the old material indicated. Thus it is far more likely that Mandalorians will be humans and you'd get stats for them as humans and no consideration for people who adopt their ways as far as stats go. Which ...... to be honest I don't mind since I think it's silly for species stats to change due to just culture.
