Revisit old YT fleet and thoughts on how it would survive wave 3/4

Hi guys, am new here.

Just posting some fleet ideas and would love your feedback!

This is a modification on Quynh's fleet:

Total: 397 Mon Mothma

Flagship: CR90a

Admiral: Mon Mothma

Jaina's light

TRC

2 X CR90a

TRC

1 X MC30 TF: Admonition, APT, Ordanance Experts, Lando

8 X YT2400

Most Wanted, Hyperspace, Intel Sweep

I feel like I would lose out against a AS specced wave 3 fleet, cant really withstand the DPS of any Demo build and no way to break into an Ackbar toilet bowl. Haven't played against any Wave 3/4 so no idea how those would matchup vs this. So far I'v loved the freedom and flying rogues are very forgiving but I found that getting shots from my CR90s on larger ships don't deal enough to bring them down, and they are too fragile be too aggressive. Somehow I feel totally underprepared!

The key with TR90'cs is to all fire at the same target (same hull zone if possible). 3-5 damage is not that bad, but if you have 4 or 5 platforms delivering that per round, it overwhelms defenses quickly and can drop even the tankiest of ships

This is a tough fleet to fly. If you get into blue range the CR90's get in danger, get into black range and they are toast. Have you tried running this fleet with nothing but nav commands? Seems silly, but playing a few games like that helped me with TRC90's to get me used to keeping them in range but not in range of the things that kill them.

Demo is of course still a problem, but that is why you have admonition. Try to use a cr90 to block, or soak up damage with admonition and throw all your black dice at it with the yt's and it should go down though.

MMoose: i find it really hard to position it such that they all get to fire at the same arc, it wasnt as effective when they were just pound 1 ship but from multiple directions.

BFett: Indeed I found that I had to play navigates almost all the time to make sure they dint get into blow up range, but i ended up almost always being too overcautious with them and not allowing them to deal much damage. I fended off demo twice with the nest of yt and throwing admonition at it, both times managed to kill it without losing admonition but allowing it to be finished later by something else like rhymer ball or ISD

One of the problems in this list is that I always dont get initiative, wonder if having 1 less YT or cutting a TRC would help in that aspect?

You might gain a few points by dropping jainas from the flagship and changing one YT to an A. That gets you a 10 pt bid which is kind of a magic number to get first most of the time. Or you could keep jainas and change 2 YTS to A's for an even steeper bid. Use the A's to tie up a ball while the YT's pick off targets together, hopefully avoiding being tied down themselves as much as possible.

Either of these options increase the bid without really dropping the effectiveness of the fleet any noticable amount.
