Protectorate dial

And while I agree that technically the arc has more physical seats, we all know in Xwing seats do not equal the number of crew slots.(see any large ship, or the Tie Phantom, or the Bwing title) so that's kinda moot. We saw it in an actual movie(that the game is based on)

It's not at all moot. It's not a one to one relationship, but number of in-lore crew is indicative of crew slots in X-Wing.

Phantoms were two-seater, with the second crew member not specifically dedicated to anything, though I always kinda thought of them as akin to a systems engineer, but I guess our fearless designers didn't see it that way.

B-wing/E2 modification was explicitly an extra seat in the craft.

I will grant you that large ships don't get as many as is relevant, but that's far more to do with game balance than anything, and I'm willing to allow a certain amount of fudging in that particular direction...

You seem to agree with me - it's not a direct one to one relationship?

Granted I don't have my protectorate yet, but based on today's article it seems to have a pretty lack luster dial. Sure he has all turns but two of them are red. None of them are green. They really don't want you to be able to PtL.

All green 2s is lack luster?!?!

What are you talking about? You're looking at the wrong dial.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Oh, thank god. I was so disapointed after that articles's dial spoiler. Also confused how the forums didnt explode when people got their early gen con copies...now it makes sense (simple formatting error).

And while I LOVE the ARC, the SF really isn't that bad. Even if it doesn't use its aux arc as well (apart from backdraft), it's also a hell of a lot cheaper and its got a far better dial for jousting (sexy segnors!) that really isn't bad

really, even the PS 3 generic is solid (makes poor integrated X-wings weep with envy). The only reason no one is super excited about them is that x7 defenders exist and are absolutely nuts (and come in sexy paint schemes!)

I don't know, I feel like the FO is outclassed by the Accuracy Corrector Tempest. S-loops are nice, but accuracy corrector is a huge boost to action economy, and the extra green die will usually win out over one more shield (For your opponents at least, Fickle- I know all Green dice loathe you personally).
