New company...but will we have the same energy?

By Hidatom, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

I have known Sgt. Horvath on and off for decades and I KNOW he will put the right kind of effort and energy into this...but I hope we will have some of the volunteers and crew from AEG adding to this excitement.

Diamond Dan?
Padre Lapp?
Rose?

Who from the old crowd is coming back?
Will we get a great event at feeding Hills again?

It's early but let's hear some shout outs!

I'm your huckleberry

Did you see the video from Gencon this year? :)

Gotta say, I like these videos as someone who has played the game since I was a wee lad, but some of them are pretty over the top cringe-inducing for anyone else.

Deja vu?

Once again everything has to be in hands of volunteers?

Horvath has already stated they are planning the biggest LCG release they have done. he used the words "Opening Ceremonies" when talking about it.

I have heard rumors that FFGs OP program will be improving due to this game hitting the shelves.

If FFG can make a new, solid game that feels enough like the older one, then yes.

This years Origins and Gen Con were not what FFG wanted. The move to split their Nationals into two tracks was done before they had secured adequate space / staffing at both events. That should change for 2017 as the ideas put forth can be merged with the realities of physical space and logistics of the events.

Nationals wasn't split. They created a US nationals. Prior to this year US didn't have one. GenCon has always been the North American Championship rather than Nationals.

The games have been split in to two different tracks based on Star Wars vs Everything else but that had no bearing on this year at all.
