Also FYI, the U-Wing and Tie Striker have been moved from in development to at the printer to join its Wave X brethren.
Hard white turn two on U-Wing
oh i'd be surprised if they didnt get released simo. As many many people will claim to be awesome for predicting this: we fully expected more ships to be announced for wave10 lol.
considering it has a green 2bank revealed i would be surprised if it didnt have a white 2turn.
Do we have ANY ships that go from green to red like that? I dont think we do atleast (excluding s/k/t maneuvers). Theres always a white between the two unless theres an upgrade changing things.
*checks app* well...apparently theres atleast 1 now - the TIE/SF goes from green 1bank to red 1hard. Weird.
Personally i dont care what hard turn it has that isnt red i just hope it has one. Biggest complaint i have about the Lambda is unless you baffle the stress off, it simply cannot turn around. Sure the uwing has that stand-still-flip trick but what if hes stress stacked? i sincerely doubt its a white stop, and not every uwing will have hera on it.
The TIE bomber has green 2 banks and red 2 hard turns.
The TIE Advanced has green 1 banks and no hard 1 turns *at all*.
Sure, you give up defense for when you need the manuver, but realisticly, its no more predictable than a Lambda is. If you needed it, here is your Lambda Decision Tree:A 0-k that requires a turn of setup, which means you telegraph it,nor do you have your second defense die the turn before you turn.
For that matter, a K-turn's forward displacement is a pretty big part of its effectiveness. You can k-turn over your opponent in a joust. In the same situation, the U-wing is in a no-win situation if the opponent rams you after you set up a 0-k; If you turn, they're now on your tail. If you don't, things that aren't b-wings can use a reverse maneuver over you next turn, and be on your tail, and you're stuck in the same position you were last turn.
Don't get me wrong, the Landing maneuver has potential, but it's going to require a unique flying style that won't work in a lot of conventional situations.

Bank 1 Hard Turn 2 or Stop
Now, if the Rebellion had Palpatine, that'd be another story, but the last thing this game needs is another Palpatine.

The Lambda is not exactly a high bar for combat effectiveness these days, so I fail to see your point. The U-wing is competing with ARCs, B-wings, and X-wings for list space, not the Lambda.

Honestly, at this stage I'm inclined to say: why not? The Empire have Palp, Scum have Manaroo, why shouldn't the rebels get a REMF type support ship?
