is HotR coming out same time as Wave 9 + how many of each?

Is HotR coming out the same time as the other 4 ships in Wave 9? The preorder sites seem to have it also released in September but I'd hate to have a preorder held up because of a delayed release (I suffered with a Imperial Veterans preorder holding up other ships).

Also how many of each should one get to field a mono ship list for each ship?

Impossible to say how many hotr when we don't know any of the good (nonyt1300) content that isn't just Poe again

A week or so ago, my LGS took pre-orders for Heroes because his distributor said it was arriving on Sept 22. With no word on Wave 9.

I would say no, since it is still listed as "On the Boat"

They've confirmed Wave 9 for the 22nd but I'm not betting on HotR for the same time. My guess is that we'll see that box around the same time as the U-Wing and Striker. So, much closer to the release of Rogue One.

well, tbf, none of the upgrades being introduced are super necessary to have in bulk

unlike Wave 7's utterly game changing crackshot and TLT, wave 9 introduces no game defining element that isn't incredibly niche (ie., ship specific titles that define the ship they come with but can't be taken with anything else, Tailgunner might as well be "ARC-170 Only", VTs are horribly inefficient outside of a handful of ship-types that can properly exploit them, and BMSTs are okay just no one knows how many you really need in a squad) or just isn't very good

Rigged Cargo Hold would be imo, but at only 1 per caster it's not an efficient purchase :P

I have been fairly apathetic to this release since it was announced.

I am going with 1 of each just to determine if I even like any of the ships. Also, I am trying to spread my buying power to save money on a bulk purchase online, but still support the game store I have started playing at.

I can see adding one more of each of the small ships and that would be it. I have seen two Fang Fighters in action and it was a good showing. For the ARC, I only want two for the extra Vectored Thrusters, but I have to see how those play first before I decide to make that extra purchase. A second Tie/SF will depend on how it plays as well. Nothing in the upgrades says I need more. As for the Shadowcaster, I don't tend to buy more than 1 large ship. There are exceptions, but most of the time, one is enough for me.

So there is an additional rationalization of the purchase only one to start theory.

oh they're fun (if you like Biggs)

Without Biggs, you might be able to get away with Norra solo (use Nien Nub, not even kidding because Norra with only speed 2 greens and no cover is an absolute sitting duck; with Nien Nub she can gtfo. You won't do much of anything with your aux arc without Tailgunner, but you'll live to complain about it!)

otherwise, though, if you like Biggs and formation flying (which all goes to **** after Biggs is dead and the whole table becomes your oyster) the ARC is definitely a good ship.
