The black dice have 2 sides with a defense icon, 2 blank sides, and 2 with a threat/imperial icon. What does the threat icon on the black dice mean? I can't find anything about it in the rules.
Threat icon on black dice
I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean.

Would you mind pointing out the die and the icon you are referring to?

What you're describing are RPG setback dice. I remember a batch of dice packs that had some mixup in them. You probably need to get ahold of FFG for some replacements.
Sounds like that's the issue then. Thanks.
I was disappointed when my dice pack was correctly packed with the correct black dice.

yeah FFG's replacement and customer support is so good sometimes I'm excited when I get a broken product, because then I get a replacement and I have two things instead of one!
I would LOVE to have a black defense die with a misprint! Playing as the Empire right now and the trolling potential for my campaign group has me salivating.
If the OP or anyone else has one they're willing to trade for some AA cards or acrylic tokens from OP events please let me know!

You sure you have the correct white dice? I swear mine has 4 or 5 dodges on it when my one player playing Diala uses it
The other day I was single player testing and Jyn rolled 3 blanks in 4 rolls.
On a slightly different note, what would it take for the black die to actually feature a "threat" result? Meaning, that whenever that result came up, the IP would gain a threat? Should it replace the triple block?
Just a thought...
See Agent Blaise's campaign card for Menace.

Yeah, I know he can do it on his own, but what if the black die simply had a "threat" face, that gave the IP 1 Threat every time that result came up? What would that be worth?

Interesting question!
Also, what would it do in skirmish? Discard one of the opponent's command cards?

Depends on if this threat dice is a new dice or a modified black dice I suppose.
If it's a new dice or ability on a character, then they would simply make a skirmish and campaign version of the character (like Blaise)
If its a modified black dice then I suppose it would be something like discarding a command card, or maybe recover 1?

Oh yeah, gain a command card would be more similar thematically to the campaign effect.
I like this idea. It would be a reverse Biggs effect, it would put you off attacking that character.
Edited by mazz0I honestly think gaining a command card would be underpowered because that is still no defense. I would be more interested in say a parry die. evade, 1 block, 1 block, 2 block, 2 block, 2 block+1 parry. parry would be: the attacker suffers 1 strain.

Oh, you're thinking the threat would be instead of any other result? Yeah, that would be bad. I was thinking block+threat.
I just picked some up with this problem. I was tearing my hair out trying to find where in the rulebook it talked about the threat symbol on the dice.
Edited by EridanAre you guys getting these misprints from core sets, or extra dice packs?
I'd really love one of those misprinted black dice!
Core

Gah, that's what I was "afraid" of. Thanks.
