[Campaign] problem with lock, unlock and open door

By JA_42, in Imperial Assault Campaign

Just a question, cause in some mission wording is weird...

as example, in Escape from Cloud City (Hoth), mission rules are (a part):

- Door are lock. Rebels can attack them (live: twice threat, def : 0). Rebels can interract to open it (2 succes on any test)

what is meaning?

VERSION A

- Rebel must shot it to unlock THEN interact to open it

VERSION B

- Rebel could shot it OR interact, to open it

Very important AND urgent (we play this scenario in few hours)

It's version B. Thematically, you can either blow up the door by attacking it or you can use your skills to open it.

Version b.

If a door is destroyed, it is removed from the map.

If a door can be opened with interact (with attribute test), it is also removed from the map.

So, doors being locked means they can't be opened with a regular interact, and by only rebels allowed to attack and interact means that Imperial figures are prevented from getting them open.

yes, what I imagine (in my worst nightmare :) )

And if it says "to unlock", then after the initial interact to unlock the door, you still need to spend another action to open. For example if it says hero can interact (2 successes on technical) to unlock. Then after you pass the test, you need to interact to open the door.

Wow, okay then, I didn't know that. Has it ever come up anywhere? All the missions I've played have said to simply "open" the door, when succeeding in an attribute test to open them, even if they were locked? But "unlock" is one interact and "open" is another? Hmm...

I remember a few missions where the doors (or some of them) unlock when you interact with a terminal, or have claimed all terminals. You can then interact (without attribute test) to open a door, because it is no longer locked.

It should be very obvious from the mission rules. Just read the mission rules carefully and keep an eye on open / unlock.
