That bid isn't as good as I'd like... Fight controllers could come off?

wow. idk if that list is good, I do know it is MODERN. probably the first ackbar list I've seen that isn't all about expensive gunnery teams xi7 ships with minimal squadrons.

1 . you need a 6th squadron to increase your deployments and tactical flexibility.

2. do that by taking out boosted comms(flight controllers is awesome on a 4-squadron ship), the and trade wedge & dutch with mere x-wings. now add an x-wing for total of jan ors & 5 x-wings. (not saying dutch & wedge isn't good, just your list doesn't REALY have the points to spare... ) you will remain with an initiative bid of 5. you may even take out jaina's light upgrade; its good mainly for lists with a couple of big ships it can hide behind. this is no such list. +2 bid points are better.

3. alternatively, take out boosted comms, take out an x-wing, and use 1 x gr-75. you now have a bid of 4, but moar activations.

personaly I don't have much to add. after this, the list has reached a point where only actual playtesting can show if it needs changes.

Okay so after a few games here is what I learned. I need a better bid, around the 387 mark and Id like to add Tantive to one of the Corvettes for a turn one squadron command... I like the scout frigate but trying to get those black dice has got him killed twice and keeping him at a distance seems a bit of a waste... even though foresight is amazeballs (X17s are its kryptonite)... you lose out on squadron assistance with this ship PLUS a second Assault Frigate works out cheaper. I cant fit flight controllers in the list without dropping X-Wings down to A-Wings though which seems to defeat the point to me a little... although A-Wings win out with speed and Counter.

My main question is about the Flight Controllers vs A-Wings/X-Wings or if I can drop points elsewhere? The second set of Countermeasures perhaps?

Just my two cents, but I wouldn't drop any electronic countermeasures, 'cause Assault Frigates are, in my experience, relatively fragile when it comes to taking heavy fire and being unable to redirect or brace (after all, generally in an Ackbar list, you tend to have the same side pointed for multiple rounds at an enemy).

Similarly, I prefer A-Wings to X-Wings because they tend to live longer. X-Wings with 5 dice are pretty good, but they can be easy destroyed. A-Wings with 4 dice are basically X-Wings that can deal 6 dice worth of damage in a turn against one squadron, and two against any other, if played correctly, and I think that is a fair trade for one less hit point. Especially when they have access to a brace.

Also, I wouldn't use the Hyperspace Assault objective, because it means that you have to break up your fleet to do so, and traditionally Ackbar lists tend to have multiple ships gang up on one. Of course, I don't now how you play, so perhaps HA is good for you, but I'm putting the suggestion out there.

Fair - the Assault Frigate also seems to want more upgrades. Will be going back to the Scout Frigate for my games this week. Managed to fit the flight controllers in by just having 5 squadrons rather than the 6 that I wanted:
