What's the best ship in the game?

By Shadow345, in Star Wars: Armada

Point for point I'd say admonition MC30.

Demo 1 plus ACMs/OE = 77

Demo 2 plus ACMs/OE = 83 points

MC30 Torp Admo plus ACMs/OE = 82 points

MC30 will eat either Demo for breakfast, point for point it's the best ship in the game. The point, in fact, even the Demo 1 is basically useless against GR-75s, Demo 2 is completely useless, whereas the MC-30 will kill anything from a Gozanti to an ISD.

You’re not doing it right. Demo requires Engine Techs, which makes it a flotilla eater without even firing a shot. ETs work fairly well against Admo too if you have a couple in your fleet.

I almost never use engine techs, and I've lost count how many Admo MC30s I've blown up...lol. Only thing a Gladiator needs is APT, OE and SFO, if points permit. Demo is useful, but nit always required.

I only fly rebels, but still, you add Engine Techs, then not only is Admo cheaper on all accounts but also better IMO only.

While a Demo with ET is something fierce, I don't fear it. Especially once Admo tanks the first shot and then rips her open in reply. I also pair the 30 with a 75 now, and IMO nothing beats that ship as a single ship on points.

82 points for a ship which usually has 2-3 kills per game. Not that Demo isn't great, but if I had to choose I would choose Admo all day every day. More sore if you add on Lando (which would still be cheaper than Demo kitted out)

I would also say piloting is a bigger factor than the ship as well, I've been flying MC-30s since they came out, same as Imps with Glads. And no matter what the ship is, good piloting can take it up 10 levels, where a bad maneuver will leave a powerful ship as easy pickings.

It doesn’t shoot you though... It rams you four times in a row. “Shooting” is just a lazy shortcut if you happen to luck into multiple crits.

Outside of a vs scenario though, I favor Admo. It’s tanky enough to finish its bloody work and limp away. Demo isn’t always.

Although Brunson helps alot these days

The best ship is friendship. The most inportant thing is the friends we make along the way.

Just kidding it's the GR75 medium transport.

With out a doubt its a TRC90.

Change my mind.

It's Rebel Scum, and therefore it's clearly inferior ;)

ISD any variation.

Agreed, ISDs. Imperial lists are never harmed taking one regardless of what opponent they face. They can do any role, suffer any amount of damage, kill virtually anything smaller than they are, command many fighters and have a decent engineering value. While they aren't exceptional at any stand-out role, they are decent enough at everything to make them the definitive staple ship. The only craft more omnipresent than an ISD variation of some kind is a Gozanti with a comms net.

I think the best well rounded ship in Armada specifically is the ISD-II. Does anything and everything well that doesn't need a fleet command, fleet support or experimental retrofit.

rebel: MC40

Empire: Strike Cruiser

both are so good FFG didn't dare making them

seriously, the best ship is the ship that let have fun and win....

Have fun: LMC80

Win: ISD

Well, the above is not always true, but often happens in my games😆

I have a special fondness for the Interdictor,

If we are talking about a stock ship no Upgrades its the ISD-I if we are talking about ships with upgrades its close between the ISD-II and the Kuat.
