R3 astromech doesn't count as 'without effort', especially not when you have Poe's ability. Losing a damage is a big deal.

Autothrusters also don't trigger all the time.

Sensor Cluster is solid for Poe, certainly, and in general makes that Tech slot a lot more useful for T70s (and indeed anyone but /fos), but Poe will really shine with Pattern Analyzer if it does what we think it does (take your action before you gain the stress from a red) and isn't too expensive.

Being able to turn eye blank into two evades is super nice.

But r3 astromech is REALLY not where Poe wants to go. BB8, R5P9, or just maybe R2D2 if you're using Sensor CLuster. In particular, 9Poe with BB8, PTL, Black One, Pattern Analyzer, Autothrusters is gonna be A Thing.

Biggs doesn't last forever. Once everyone's favourite bullet-catcher has gone down, making sure Poe is tanky enough to keep on hitting is going to be key.

Sensor Cluster looks good on Poe, particularly if you are not using R5-P9 as it gives an alternative way to defensively spend that Focus token. 2 points is a good price for it too. It all depends on whether Pattern Analyser does what we think it is going to do and how much it costs. Focussing after a T-roll would be pretty good too but would synergise better with R5-P9.

I think we are going to see 2 distinct flavours of Poe emerging. "Regen Poe" with R5-P9 and Pattern Analyser to make his Focussing more reliable and "Black One Poe" with title, BB-8, Sensor Cluster and probably PTL.

r3 is some useless RNG driven crap you can't count on for anything

so,

Sensor Clusters and Autothrusters are pretty close to two automatic evades anyway (if in a position where the thrusters can trigger); the R3 isn't needed.

• Blank/Blank - one with sensor clusters, one with autothrusters if you can
• Blank/Focus - poe's ability & sensor clusters
• Evade/Focus - poe's ability
• Evade/Blank - sensor clusters

For 1 point more than an R3, the shield regen from R5-P9 will do you better.

I'd concur. The HotR Poe seems designed to pair up with not taking veteran instincts (but still being PS9), black one pairs with barrel roll, which pairs with BB-8, which pairs with push the limit and so on. Much more expensive, but much slipperier and more capable of maneuver shennanigans.
