Keeping up with the Rebellion

By Englishpete, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

A lot of Rebel lists nowadays seem to revolve around speed and activation once more. I wanted to do something similar for the Empire and still meet Lyraeus challenge of not using Rhymer or Demolisher.

I came up with this list (I actually think the new Acquitens will improve upon the list). I hope to run it this week and see how it goes....

Faction: Galactic Empire
Points: 393/400

Commander: Admiral Ozzel

Assault Objective: Precision Strike
Defense Objective: Hyperspace Assault
Navigation Objective: Dangerous Territory

Gladiator I-Class Star Destroyer (56 points)
- Ordnance Experts ( 4 points)
- Engine Techs ( 8 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points)
= 73 total ship cost

Gladiator I-Class Star Destroyer (56 points)
- Ordnance Experts ( 4 points)
- Engine Techs ( 8 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points)
= 73 total ship cost

[ flagship ] Raider-I Class Corvette (44 points)
- Admiral Ozzel ( 20 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points)
= 69 total ship cost

Raider-I Class Corvette (44 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points)
= 49 total ship cost

Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points)
- Suppressor ( 4 points)
= 27 total ship cost

3 Aggressor Assault Fighters ( 48 points)
3 Firespray-31s ( 54 points)

I like this build, although I'd prob drop the Engine Techs for Ord Experts on the Raiders and Slicer Tools on your Gozanti. Given that your running Adr Ozzel I don't think it will cost you too much in terms of manouvering

I actually like the idea of adding OE over Engine Techs and will give it a try. I've found Slicer Tools, whilst excellent as a card, useless in practice due to the easy death of the Gozanti. I thought I might try Monferrat on a Raider, with Ozzel on board and maybe Insideous on a Gladiator.

Hyperspace assault would enjoy insidious, or slicer tools... insidious with vet cap, squad commands and the 3 firesprays would be pretty top tier as far as assaults go... flotilla with tools in the baffles could be quite annoying as well
