Beast Tamer + Elite Imp Officer

By Slugrage, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

If I'm working this out right, and I'm using Elite Imperial Officer + Beast Tamer (don't ask, just go along with it) and a Wampa, am I right in thinking I can...

Trigger Executive Order from EIO and order the Wampa that's within 2 space to Move
On Wampa's next activation, trigger Beast Tamer for Wampa to Move
Take Wampa's Move

Then attack with Wampa

So over two unit activations, Wampa could move 3 times, then attack.

Right?

Yes. Edit: if you could have all three. See the posts below. Just perform all abilities as written. (Except that Executive Order allows the figure to perform a move or an attack, not Move action nor Attack action. So: perform a move from Executive Order, at the beginning of the Wampa's activation, perform a move from Beast Tamer, perform a move from a Move action, then perform an attack from Attack action.)

It is impossible to bring an elite imperial officer and beast tamer in the same list.

Wouldn't the Imperial Temporary Alliance card permit it? That's one of two Scum/Mercenary cards if Wampa were included.

Temporary Alliance

Skirmish Upgrade

You may include up to 2 <Mercenary> Deployment cards in your army.

You can't bring Best Tamer into an Imperial army with Temporary Alliance (abilities that manipulate deployment cards do not apply to skirmish upgrades unless specified explicitly).

Missed that in the FAQ. Only looked in the Rules. :)

Thanks!
