I'm looking forward to putting Flight Commander on Quantum Storm with the new Rapid Launch or whatever the name actuality is. QS gets a Nav token Round 1 from Comms Net, and does a Squadron command. Uses nav token to boost at speed 4, FC to launch B wings in your face. Get the Indy effect without needing an Mc80. Booyah
Using Flight Commander
I came second at the Aussie nationals with using Flight Commander on Bright Hope on a gr75 with Expanded hangar bays to activate 3-4 Awings.
The reason i had flight commander is so that i can push the Awings out as far as possible if i needed to and then catch up and activate them again using Flight Commander in the next turn. Because i was playing Cracken it was going to be flying at Speed 3 anyway. It was also a way for me to activate more squadrons but still have a similar effect to having boosted comms!
Yeah. I found that I was really wanting for dice modification. I did my usually trick if ruling a fist full of nothing with the MC-80 side arc.
What are we're you running your Indy with? I put a couple of transports then a Torp Frigate for a credible threat.
...and how do you find Bs without Indy? Is. The FC FCT combo sufficient?
I've run the FC/FCT on Defiance combo, and I like it pretty well. I wasn't even using a lot of squadron commands, just navs and CF while Defiance Come-At-Me-Bro'd behind a cloud of B's. It's a pretty different feel from using Indy, but it's pretty fun. Quite a bit less aggro in general, at least as far as positioning goes.

Sounds like a decent defensive setup. Slow roll and use the FCT to shuffle the B's along. Presumably you're trying to time a squadron command for when you anticipate a strike.Yeah. Yup. Dial modification would be useful (maybe Leia on a flotilla or something), but I don't think I used any in that list.

I'm also a big fan of Defiance with FC/FCT and bombers. That way even if you have to go second that big shot/s from Defiance will strip shields for the bombers to exploit.

I like the idea of this as a dedicated second player defense fleet for The Corellian Conflict. Do you really want to come blow up these stations I'm sitting behind in your Show of Force Special Assault?

Precisely what I was thinking!
I enjoy flight commander from the imp perspective of tossing my bombers out fast on turn one, turn two move my gozi fc into range, activate bombers, and now they're within easy range of my bcc.
