There are many ships and cruisers that would be great to expand the game with. Here is a list of some ships that would be interesting to see included.

-Hammerhead corvette
-MC40a light cruiser

*Heavily modified version seen in Empire at War
Galactic Empire

Any other ships that aren't here, suggest them in the thread and they'll hopefully be added.
Ship suggestion list
I'd say a new game scale would be needed for them not to be excessively large and expensive - especially if the Praetor II ends up being not its old size (4.8km) but the size Fractalsponge intended it to be when he created his computer model of it (6.3 km).
I think FFG upscaled it too - with its game description in an Age of Rebellion splatbook saying it was 4x the length of an ISD, if I remember rightly.
My personal recommendation would be- new game starts with basically the Armada ruleset - but in this game, Squadrons are of ISD-scale ships, and the biggest ships, the length of Armada's ISD, are SSDs like the Executor.
For Standard Armada, I wouldn't add anything significantly bigger than the ISD - maybe the smaller battlecruisers might work, but nothing bigger than that - since even those would cost as much as a X-wing corvette.
Edited by IronlordI think the Acclamator and the Venator look great.
It would also be a way of getting prequel ships into the game whilst running them as Imperial ships. Since they were both used in the early days of the Empire.

Of course they could introduce some epic size ships similar to the ones in X-Wing, then again the Praetor, Executor and Eclipse may be still too big. Could just see how they were to introduce them if FFG even did.
The Poe Dameron comic had a new heavy cruiser in issue 4 I think, plus whatever the hell the Carrion Spike is. I don't know but it cloaks.
Nvm you caught the carrion spike. Gonna have to check those links.
Edited by MadaghmireFor the rebels, i agree with the DP 20. I'd also like to see the MC-40 Cruiser, CC-9600 Frigate, Quasar-Fire Carrier, Assault Frigate Mk I and Dauntless-Class Cruiser.
For the Empire, i agree with the Venator and Strike. I'd also like to see the Vigil-Class Heavy Corvette, Vindicator-Class Cruiser and the Dreadnought-Class Cruiser.
Fighters are the tricky part, as there aren't a lot of rebel fighter options. If i remember my legends lore correctly, all we have left are the H-60 Tempest, R-41 Starchaser, T-Wing, H-Wing, K-Wing, A-9 Vigilance and the Rebel Defender. Imperials always did have more fighter designs to choose from.
More and more Rebel corvettes will reach the point of diminishing returns. The CR90 was obvious. The Pelta is visually striking, although Phoenix Home is really best known for getting wrecked by Darth Vader.
"Imperial Light Carrier" with a unique title, "Quasar Fire" that allows it to go in a Rebel fleet.
Then the Empire just gets an endless line of triangles in varying sizes and varying shades of gray.
What about something weird, like a medium-base Ithorian herdship that has strong defense, piddling offense, and fleet support?
Or just go the Raider route and make stuff up. I wouldn't mind that, if it was done well. "Oh, these are ships from Alderaan that such and such Rebel sympathizer diverted to the Alliance."
Bothan Assault Cruisers for the rebels please. ![]()

Armada doesn't have a scale or the Corvette would be smaller or the VSD much larger, it should fit in the VSD docking bay after all.
I think I usually end up chiming in with the same sort of list, so I kinda held back until now: but I'm a little surprised that no one's mentioned one of the ships still left over from the OT yet.
The Alliance pocket Raider: the Dornean Gunship.

I'm usually pretty fascinated with the flotilla and medium ship categories as they seem a little sparse given that certain borderline ships have been consistently herded in to the 'small' category.
Anyway: if we're saving for a 'First Order' wave, we have the Nebulon K, the Lancer, the Resurgent, and their 'medium cruiser' that Maddy mentioned (The Maxima-A Class if wookipedia is to be believed).
As for Imperial ships: Carrack, Dreadnaught, Victory II frigate, the IR-3F light frigate has one rendition that I particularly like, the IPV 'Piggy' is okay, as is the Ton-Falk.

ISD docking bay. And even scaling a Praetor down from 4x length of ISD to 2x length of ISD, is still going to result in an uncomfortably large ship.
Easier, I think, to introduce a new game with small SSD models and tiny ISD models.
When it comes to adding ships to Armada, I'd say the largest ships one could add would be battlecruisers - dreadnoughts are just a little too large, even with a sliding scale.
Imperial II Frigate and Vindicator Class Heavy Cruiser too.

Tector class SD. Another ship from the OT

I could live with the Broha'tok Gunship-what's not to like about the first dedicated combat flotilla? ![]()
A ship that would be absolutely awesome to see introduced is the special Imperial-class Star Destroyer, the Conqueror.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Conqueror_(superlaser)

In the original Legends timeline, the Conqueror was a modified Imperial-class Star Destroyer with a superlaser attached. The superlaser was built in a secret research facility on Naboo with the ship stationed in the Mustafar system. The laser had enough power to destroy moons and crack continents in half, and potentially destroy planets. The ship was however destroyed by Renegade Squadron in 1 ABY.
Edited by VectorHow about some TFA ships like Han's frigate (the one with the tenticale monsters) and the First Order Star Destroyer.
You could also include 6 hit point X-wings and 4 Hit point Tie fighters as well.
TFA Ships will likely make it to Armada if this game is to continue.

I'm keen to see ships from TFA as well as from future films added into the game.
Any sort of Resistance and First Order ships would be great to see and like with X-Wing Miniatures, it's possible FFG will eventually add them to Armada.
Han and Chewbacca's ship in TFA, the Eravana, which was a Baleen-class heavy freighter, would also be great to see introduced. However, I don't think it would fit as either a Rebel or Imperial ship. If FFG were to introduce Scum & Villiany as a faction to Armada, it would be much more suited to be affiliated with them.

Ehhhhh
TFA is not needed THAT much. I mean we have one or two more ships currently for the game in TFA.
(Le snip)
I could live with the Broha'tok Gunship-what's not to like about the first dedicated combat flotilla?
Totally agreed
I'd be pretty interested to see what some dedicated combat flotilla could be like. I've always kinda wondered if we'll see some slower 'system craft', monitors or the like which have some weaponry but not a lot else. Either way, some dedicated combat flotilla could be great so long as Ackbar doesn't decide to break something.
I'm never sure about the Conqueror, mostly because I'm not sure how a Super Laser would reasonably work. I fear the inclusion of D-style weapons or some bizarre MDC vs. SDC system in standard play (those who know of what I speak can draw their own conclusions). Still, I'm usually up for at least trying out something unique.
The TFA stuff still seems interesting as we know what the Maxima, Lancer, and Resurgent is, and thanks to Marinealver's video, we saw some Republic Nebulon sort of ship. The only current problem with a TFA 'starter set' is that we don't have any guarantees on any unique Republic capital ships (even if we know that they used a number of vessels that are already in the current inventory)

Weill right now as the only capital ship that wasn't first order I saw that fits the bill for the Resistance completely as a small ship. However there probably needs to be another small ship to be seen before a TFA core Set is released with the T-70 and TIE/FO Squadrons.
More likely to see a Rebels core than TFA.
Hmmm, yeah, it's true that we're far more likely to see a Rebels Core than a TFA core. But the question now is 'are we more likely to see a Rebels Core than an Episode VIII core'?
No Thrawn Yet.
Don't care about anything else, yet.
Get to that good stuff first.
