Hey all,
So our distributor has pre orders ready for Wave 5 and Corellian Conflict with an expected release date of October 31st.
If this is true, would these be Worlds legal?

For CC maybe. For the rest of Wave 5 I seriously doubt it. I think they gonna wait with it till at least November so they could boost demand with the Christmas rush.
Edited by NorellProducts are not legal until 11 days after official release.
I dont think that wave 5 and CC will be legal (or even coming out in time) for the worlds 2016. Not enough time for it. They are currently at the printer. And the boarding time was really long the last waves (for armada and X-Wing).
On top are the 11 days Toqtamish mentioned. So they have to be in Store before 28th Oct.
And they have to be in store worldwide. Would not be fair, if they are in store in US, but not in other countries in time. So i guess they will hold back the release untill after the worlds (or at the worlds).

So, the Australian Distributor is saying October 31st...
But the UK Distributor is stating 30th of November...
Lion Rampant, Canadian Distributor, is being very tight lipped. ("No Information.")
....
And as was stated, Worlds is a Premier Event, which means there is the 11 day cooling off period from "Street Date".
Now, Street Date is not neccessarily World Wide. It should be, but plainly, it isn't. For example, Street Date for Waves 3 and 4 was the 11th of August, but we heard from the German Nationals that only Wave 3 is released there... But Wave 4 is totally legal worldwide, even if they don't have it...
With the 11 Day cooling off period, plus the fact that worlds is, what, the 4-6 of November? When you then round it all out, its basically almost mid October that things would have to be released for, to be Legal for Worlds.
Honestly, the question I've been asking is any of this going to be Legal for Calgary Regionals in the 1st Week of January - because if they keep to their usual timelines on the whole "On the Boat, Shipping Now, In stores" thingo, even that is being questionable...
They could stealth-things in, though. Never know.
Not quite Dras. Worlds requires 11 days from US release.
As you have many times told us, armada events elsewhere are subject to the distributors individual rules. In the uk, there are no rules and it is done on a case by case. I have suspicions its up to keith.

I'm having a real bad week, aren't I?
Totally correct, totally misread things myself ![]()

Speaking of which, what is this abomination.

The words uk nationals gave me hope for the barest of seconds before realising the horrifying truth.
So I just popped this up on a local Card Gaming Thread, and I kid you not, the first -totally legitimate- response was:
"Man, I hope they've nerfed Fluttershy, because she was an unbeatable beast a few months ago..."
On topic, it does seem that to meet the deadline (Nov. 2nd?) we have an extremely small window in which to release the CCCP and Wave V. Now, I do have a question if one would humour me: assuming we get a large premier level tournament (lets say a regional tournament on day 3 of a larger gaming expo) and a close release date. That is 11 days from the start of the event, not the start of the tournament, correct?
Off topic:

I wasn't going to say anything at all but that little point, Dras, it pushed me! Anyway, I heard from a pair of store owners that it was apparently popular at tournaments and events. Scarily, it has a set day at a store I've been to, but Armada is more of a 'suggested meet up time'. I feel slighted because of that.
I don't get that game, I don't get why people like the yellow one, and I don't get telephones: but I do get that awful sinking feeling when you realize how far your expectations are from that initial gleeful jolt. Star Wars Episode VIII in December 2017, Cluster bombs discard, seeing an Armada stream up playing Guildball, brand new awesome sale open to US residents in lower 48 states only.

you got that mixed up, Dras, we have both wave 3 and 4 in Austria and Germany, just the English versions. There is no Geman version for wave 4, hence it was not tourney legal.
To be honest, I was not mixed up - I was not privileged to the information that only the German versions are Tournament Legal in Germany. ![]()
from the Tournament Regulations:
For Relaxed and Formal events, all product is legal in North America upon the product’s offcial release. For Premier events, all product is legal in North America 11 days—typically the second Monday—after the product’s offcial release. Offcial dates will be updated on the Product Legality page on our website (https://www.fantasyfightgames.com/en/op/legality/).
Players outside North America should check with their organizer to determine which products are tournament legal.
And for germany it was said form the local organizer that wave 4 is not legal for the nationals. And this was good this way, because it was not in the stores (only wave 3).
if wave 4 would have been legal, it would have mean only the english one, and only for these who put some work in to get it.
Not really fair. So it was good that wave 4 was not legal.
And i dont think (as i said earlier) that it will be any matter for the worlds. The wave 5 and CC will come out after or at the worlds. Everthing else would be a disaster (for FFG and the worlds).
And just for info: Wave 4 is still not released in germany.
When was it released in US? 5 weeks ago?

Wave 3/4 was strange for us that it actually came out on time or if not slightly earlier than the US for us. A great change from Wave 2 release!
we need to smuggle this from wherever it is.
