If Davith has vanished he becomes immune to damage until his next activation. Lets say I use Channel the force to grap Force Surge, and chose him to take the strain. Can he then annul the damage, or does he need to discard because he's immune to damage?
Vanish question
Someone like a1bert will be better placed to answer this I expect but my initial thoughts would be that "choose a force user, they take 2 damage" can't be fulfilled if you choose davith?
Not sure though, could well be the other way round, interested to see what the pro's here think ![]()

good question...
im leaning to yes davith takes no dmg. He is taking 2 strain which becomes 2 damage but it becomes 0 because of vanish.
Play as written. Davith does not suffer damage, even if it is strain converted to damage.
Because figures in skirmish do not have endurance, all strain suffered are consequencies instead of prerequisites. In campaign abilities requiring strain as a cost cannot be used by heroes unless the strain can be suffered without going over their endurance value. In the campaign other figures can choose to suffer strain as a cost because they don't have an endurance value.
The strain in Channel the Force isn't a cost to activate an ability, it is a consequence of activating the ability. (Compare to the bleeding condition.)
