Why do people go on about numbers of ships needing to be even. It really doesn't matter if one faction has 1 or 2 ships more.

I think they should add the V-Wing for the Scum faction at the very least.
Not a Scum player myself, but I'd like to see the first Scum huge ship come with a ton of pilot cards for the ships already released. Rebels got a couple iterations of X-Wing and A-Wing etc. while Imperials got extra pilot cards for Interceptors, Bombers, and Fighters. It would be financially smart for FFG to do that since S&V players would be likely to buy more fighter models that they may not have gotten before if the pilots and upgrades are awesome enough.
I for one think that Unidentified Rodian with Jacket would make a great mid-range PS pilot as long as he's named. Then you'd have huge Scum, more variety for Scum, and one of the greatest mysteries of the Star Wars universe solved.
That's a trifecta.
I'll be waiting for my job offer in the mail FFG.
Make a new Arc-170 as a scum ship, give it some unique pilots and a new unique paint job. Add two V-Wing fighters, with more pilots. And that could become the Scum Ace's pack. Then the next scum ship could be a huge // large ship, the Star Jewel.
This would also allow FFG To add Jabba the Hutt, a highly prominent villain to the star wars game, that would be hard to be included otherwise. Would also allow collectors to finally have something else from the Dark Forces game, and we all know there are tons of us out there. Just make sure it comes with a Tractor Beam card and slot for it.
Other good ships to implement would be a Naboo expansion pack. Naboo Star Fighter, and Naboo Shuttle would be a nice special expansion to create. Both ships if anything would be sought after by collectors alone, and Im sure FFG Can find interesting ways to implement them into the game.
If they were really wanting a day 1 sale, at least from me. Implement the Sith Fury somehow from TOR.
Sure its similar to the VT-49, but lets me honest, the more unique looking ships the better, it would allow people to create more unique mission packs, or entire campaigns to play like RPGs. The collectors alone would go nuts.
Im just sick of seeing a billion version of the "same" tie fighter model. It gets really old. Tie Fighter, Rebel Tie Fighter now, the Two Tie Fighters from the First order, and two more in the Imperial Carrier pack....
there are tons of untouched possibilities here and that alone, is frustrating.

Your right! Just what we need for wave 11....
Introducing The mining guild tie fighter to the scum faction!
V-wings would be better suited to the imperials.
Now, eta class interceptors... those were really jedi fighters, I bet certain groups pay good money for them on the black market.
Also with the new episode of rebels coming out Saturday, It's possible to get the droid army into the scum faction as well, based on what the episode looks like.
But I do agree we need good ole space slug for the scummies sooner rather than later.
Or we see a scum ship in the unannounced SWX 58.
Could be there's an unseen Scum large ship either from Rogue One or one of the half-glimpsed ships from TFA. There's that ship that Finn was boarding when the Cantina was attacked.
Given the antagonistic nature of the Partisans, we could well see something like an early-model X-Wing with Illicit slots... which could be fielded by either Scum or Rebels.

This pile of garbage? With Upsilon on the horizon, I am vaguely surprised that Leia's Resistance shuttle has not been announced yet. I am interested to see what combos can be made with the assorted Rebel crew and the Tech slot.
Gosh, I hope not. It looks profoundly stupid and makes no design sense--like I get Star Wars ships have weird or silly designs that put Form > Function, but this one is just utterly nonsensical. Why would you armor the cockpit? Now you can't see out of it. Oh, you use sensors and holo-projectors to see just as well? Fine, just amor the whole **** cockpit then don't leave big chunks of the glass exposed on the sides...wait, why do any ships in Star Wars have cockpits if you can use that sort of stuff instead? And why is this goofy boomerang turned sideways? Other than making it profoundly more difficult to fly and navigate (there's a reason buses and trains aren't ****ing sideways) it also greatly increases your target profile for anything that is chasing you or that you are flying towards to attack with that heavy cannon of yours.
Also, I don't get why people think Shuttles would have lots of crew slots. Crew slots represent members of the crew that can actually help fly and operate the vehicle during combat. A big Boeing Airbus has space for hundreds of passengers, but only the Pilot and the Co-Pilot have any effect on the flight of that plane. Number of seats do not reflect the number of operable crew stations.
This thing would just be a crappy B-Wing with less maneuverability and guns. Pass.
Uh wait a minute are we talking about the Brick or the Millennium Falcon/Outrider?
While we're at it... why do we even have human pilots? Why are not all battles decided by volleys of hyperspace-capable missiles? Why do laser bolts move so slowly? Why do TIE Fighters have such a limited field of view? What is it with these laser swords? Why is galaxy so far far away full of human beings with Kardashev Level II technology but 70-year lifespans? Why waste all that energy to blow up a planet instead of the mucher cheaper method of nuking it?
1. Same reason we still have Air-forces even though we have ICBMs
2. Because they're very clearly not laser bolts. Look at the way they behave. Not lasers.
3. Because that's the way the window's designed (serious answer, they probably don't need to rely on visuals as much because of sensor tech)
4. Again, clearly not lasers
5. Medical tech has progressed as much.
6. We don't know much about the economics of the Deathstar, it could very possibly be cheaper in the long run.
I'm not a fan of trying to explain everything, but all of those are ridiculous complaints.
Good grief, must I add sarcasm tags to everything?

Imperials would be the LEAST suited for V-Wings.
No astromechs available to them, for starters. Second, V-Wings were never in service to the Empire WHILE THE GCW WAS IN PROGRESS, which was the only justification for adding the ARC-170. Third, the V-Wing couldn't fill any kind of design space for the Empire that they havent already gotten like, 3 or 4 times.
V-Wings will likely go to Scum because all of the above don't apply to scum(have astromechs, used them during the GCW, have the design space for it as a cheap and fast ship), but if they don't then they'll go to Rebels. But i don't see them thematically going to Rebels, as much as i'd like them to.
Edited by Razgriz25thinfAgree about the design space, disagree about the fluff.
When did the GCW start?
Ahsoka novel shows a battle between the Rebels (Bail Organa's cell, the base of the later Alliance) and the Empire a year after RotS.
Tarkin takes place 5 years after RotS and it features imperial V-wings, even Tarkin himself pilots one.

Sure, the Rebellion wasnt in FULL swing, but it existed all over Imperial Space ever since the Sith formed the Galactic Empire. And as far as the Galactic Empire not having Astromechs or using the V-Wing, the Tie Fighter didn't exactly just get **** Out of the star fleet factories, it took years to implement the ship, both in design and mass production, So what do you think the Empire used untill it was created?
I rest my case......
Funny thing is Ahsoka shows the opposite situation, TIE Fighters accompanied by Venators ![]()
But then again, in Tarkin there are imperial Etas, V-wings and ARCs in places which I'd expect would be the high priority, so clearly (and understandably) the transition to TIEs took years.
Venators's were pretty well used through out the Galactic Civil War in both Imperial and Rebellion Fleets. There was no point for them to destroy them or scrap them, it was cheaper and more efficient to upgrade them. Most of them went to the Outer Rim, to keep pirate fleets at bay. The few that the Rebellion had were used as Light Carriers from what I remember, though the source is far from where i remember .

Given the ARC-170s base point cost, I doubt we see the V-wing as cheap... this is like trying to keep a 53 Buick running nowadays... sure you can do it, but parts aren't going to be readily available in every part store, all the time. Your going to have to order pieces off the internet, or wait on shipments. Just like the TIE phantom, E-wing, and ARC, V-wings are going to be a rarer ship in the star wars universe, and given the past track record of the game, I doubt we'll be able to put 5 of them on the table in 100/6.
Also Imps not having an astro doesn't mean they can't get one. Scum has cloaking now, that was an imp only trick. Rebels are getting a tie fighter. Why not give Imps some astromechs for the V-wing. They could be dual sided cards to. 1 side has an astromech slot for the V-wing, the other has a crew slot with a similar ability for other imperial vessels.
We exist in a universe where the Empire can manufacture not one but two Death Stars...I'm fairly certain they can continue to produce the parts needed to maintain Clone Wars era vessels with ease. I imagine the molds and the manufacturers would continue to produce the materials for years past obsolescence.
Decidedly more advanced but look at how long it took for the PS2 to stop being manufactured nearly a decade later.
Edited by Forrestoalso, this is turning into a fluffy pillow discussion vs what it should be about, what we want as collectors for wave 11, so V-Wing is a great LOOKING ship, im sure it can find a interesting unique way to be implemented, so just DO EET, my Arc 170 wants more Republic brothers

Just found out that A-wings are going to be in Episode 8.
Do you know what this means?
This means that the Adeptus Mechanicus are now in charge of the ship-designs for the new trilogy. The old designs will become sacred and new ships will either be spin-offs of the old ones, or the actual old ships brought in to fight like heirloom katanas or somesuch.
So yeah, if you were looking forward to Episode 8 for new ship designs, don't hold your breath. Moar X-wings, Y-wings, and A-wings. ![]()
Yeah but which A-Wings. The pre-Yavin cannon fodder, the ROTJ nimble bridge rammers, or some futuristic combination of both?
