Sony's decided mods will not happen for fallout 4 or for skyrim, apparently Bethesda has it ready but sony wont give the go ahead.
After month's of waiting this is crushing.
Bad news for PS4 fallout players.

This pissed me off. to say the least. i suppose im going to either have to get an Xbox1 or get it on pc

Not willing to let modders change the game as freely as Bethesda wants.
Control freaks basically.
I'm normally an Xbox fella .. but played Skyrim on PC. The availability of new textures, environmental improvements, weapoms/armour sets, etc. made the game infinitely more enjoyable. You were able to tailor the game to what you wanted. One mod I enjoyed was adding a cold meter. If the meter hit zero you froze to death. Visiting a fire place, cave, etc reset it.
It really is a shame these features aren't coming to PS4.

Edited by DeathseedWell since exclusives are out the window there's no real reason to own a console anymore, and since they will be doing hardware upgrades every two years it's not going to be any cheaper either.
I gotta say this is is sad news to me but not too surprising really. I mean PS4 users have been waiting a bit already, including me, to get mods while Xbone got it a little back. Maybe when i get a Xbone I will get another copy of Fallout 4 just to play mods. Until then, I am gonna enjoy Nuka World.

I couldn't imagine playing a Bethesda game without mods. The AI, graphics, gameplay, bugfixes, ect improve the games a thousandfold.

And with the ps 4 pro being so much weaker than the Xbox s I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft got some new customers.

Playing any bethesda game without mods is just unappealing to me. And at this point I use so many mods that just function better when I've got more buttons to bind keys to, in the case of skyrim, I dont think it would be as accessible to me anyways to be using a controller, console itself aside.
