Crit-astrophe!

By MandalorianMoose, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

The idea behind this fleet is to slow roll towards the enemy with the Vic's while the dictor hangs back and plays defense for the big guns. The main component of the list I'm excited to try is the load out on the Vic's. They have the potential to deal 3 face up damage cards on a single attack.

I like it as I have been tinkering with the same concept of a core of 2 Vics and a dictor. I went Vic 2's though as I'm still struggling with Vics1 keeping those slippery rebels in range.

The only thing with this is you would have to confirm your opponents or TOs view on if triggering xx-9 and a standard crit effect gives you 3 face up damage card. This is because of the wording of the xx-9 card and the rules for the standard crit effect.

The standard crit effect turns the first damage card you dealt from the deck face up, xx-9 turns the first and second card dealt face up as you can see by the wording on the card and standard crit effect, even if you trigger both effects you would still only ever get the first and second damaged cards dealt getting turned face up. For this combo to work you would need an FAQ....

I think the two crit effects are APT's and XX-9's, not standard crit and XX-9's. I run a very similar list and that is how you get the three cards a turn. The other thing to remember is that XX-9's negate the contain token :-)

O yes, apt and xx-9 no one will argue with that.

Looking at the list again I think ACM may be a better choice over APT to strip shields quick and then really pile the damage cards on
