Interdictor title is when a ship activates exhaust this cause to refresh another

So can I activate, resolve tractor, resolve title to um exhaust tractor, resolve tractor again???

Y'know what, my Gut says no... But really, we'll need to break it down...

Because I mean, we're dealing with "When" triggers here, and "When" is... "At the Beginning", essentially...

So When it activates, it can use Phylom Q7s...

At the same time as "When" a ship is activating - it can un-exhaust a Card... There is your Phylom Q-7s UnExhausted...

The trick is, are you still at the Whenpart, to re do the thing you have already done...

When things are at the same Timing window, you can resolve them in any order... Can you interrupt the resolving to add more trigger effects on the way?

My brain says yes, my heart says yes, my negativity says ffg will make a rule against it... it's not like it would be overly strong or anything either, but it should work as far as the rules are worded.. it's late I'll email ffg in a day or two

I was told you couldn't when I brought it up once upon a thread sometime, but it is somewhat nebulous. I'd kind of like to be able to, that's a real bump to the Inderdictor.

Changing my Decision to a "No".

Why?

The "When" trigger still includes the clause: "and cannot occur again for this event."

• A “when” effect occurs at the moment that the specified event occurs and cannot occur again for that instance of the event.

That event, is the Interdictor Activating....

So... No...

Thing is, you have to account for the fact that its not just ruling against it, if they do... Nor is it accepting it, if they do... Its against or for every other possible implication and combination of this ability - including ones that have not yet been released.

Unfortunately, arguing that it is "not that strong" or "not overly strong" is irrelevent to it...

Its like the BCC stacking argument... Allow or Disallow it, and you also have the follow on for Targeting Scramblers to be allowed or disallowed...

As I said, I see no problem with the trigger allowing you to Un-exhaust it with Interdictor... But exhausting it again, I feel that the timing has passed - You've already basically un-exhausted a card that was only exhausted because you've chosen that order to resolve it...

... Totally proof that even I make mistakes on the face of things, and need to go back and re-read the Rulebook at times...

My initial assessment was while I was trying to get my Toddler to bed, so he was cranky and I was rushed... On a few minutes of quiet, I could review, and come to the modified conclusion

Came to the exact same conclusion a few days ago on another board : you can technically untap, but you can't reuse the phylon in the same "when" timing.

Damit all... I guess I wouldn't have even thought of this if it weren't for playing all that mtg

I'm gonna say no on this, better off with one phylon use and two g-8 uses anyway.

The way I interpret the rules right now I believe you cannot use the tractors twice. Here's the sequence I presume is correct:

• Activate Interdictor ship (The "When" triggers the option to use both Tractor and Interdictor)
• Owner states he will use both, and since they happen at same time he can choose order and chooses: Tractors, Interdictor. He cannot say he will use Tractor/Interdictor/Tractor because using the tractor card causes it to tap)
• Owner uses Tractors, and because he started resolving triggers, the "When" window is now closed.
• Owner uses Interdictor to untap the Tractor card.
• Because the "When" window is now closed the owner cannot use tractor a 2nd time

Seem correct?

Essentially, Sorta, Kinda... Its really hard to codify in words the temporal exchange that happens... But its better than my fumbling efforts at precision So well done on that

"When..." is the timing, and "Activating the Ship" is the Trigger... The timing has a clausethat says it can't happen again for that instance of the trigger.

The same thing that stops you from Double-rerolling with Darth Vader, is the thing that stops you from Double-Tapping with Phyloms... Only the Phyloms have an additional stop in regards to the Exhausted Mechanic.

It does mean that Phyloms have an Anti-MS-1 mechanic in place if you want it, with the Interdictor.
