I had gotten Relic a while back but didn't really enjoy it. I know it was based off of Talisman, but are there some key differences which would make me prefer the latter?

Just wondering given that distribution is going to be done by Feb 2017.

If you haven't played Talisman, it won't be nostalgia, therefore it can only be theme, as the mechanics are similar, but Relic has more modern and streamlined mechanics.

Which do you like more, fantasy or sci-fi? That's it.

I'm into both, actually. My issue was with the mechanics themselves, so that answers my question. Thank you!
