Forking Projection Experts?

By Norsehound, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

I've got an Interdictor with Projection Experts and Targeting Jammers. Two Gozanti cruisers with Comms nets are on support to pass engineering tokens where they are needed.

The objective is to support two VSD-Is on the approach until they can annihilate targets with Expanded Launchers backed with XI7s and Ordnance experts. Both will undoubtedly take damage on the approach.

Question: Could I use the projection experts to pass shields to both ships with a single command. I realize the card says "...from your ship to a friendly ship at range...."

Is this an absolute singular, or general? Each VSD is 'a friendly ship' after all. I'm guessing it has to be one ship, but I'd like confirmation.

I would argue singular. A friendly ship.

Nonclementure would say "one or more friendly ships" or "up to two" if it could be used on multiples.

But definitive, 100%, dyed-in-the-wool, black-and-smudge proof of that, I have none.

If you could I think it would say -

"...from your ship to friendly ships at range...."

Either way, you can still only move 2 shields total, so in the unlikely event that you can pick two ships, they'd each only get one shield anyway.
