The first round of the Sleek Geeks game shop tournament series last night was canceled due to a single competitor showing up. Due to this lack lustre turn out, we at Sleek Geeks have decided to change the series up a bit. Instead of tournaments being bi-weekly, they will now be held on the second Thursday of each month. The start time of 6:30 pm will remain unchanged. This will also mean that we will hold fewer tournaments prior to the store championship but each tournament will have more prizes available. The squad point limit will remain at 100 points. The next tournament will be held on October 14th at 6:30 pm and the buy-in will also remain at $5. We hope to see a better turn out next month for this fledgling game store and our first tournament series.

Did you post this on the Star Wars:X-wing Ohio facebook group? Regardless of how much people say this game is growing, in Columbus area that is your best bet for interaction.

Thanks for the heads up. I have not posted it to facebook although i think the store may have posted it to the X-Wing Ohio facebook page but I'll have to chexk to make sure. If not I may have to break down and get a facebook page just to post about this. Ah no matter how I try I can't escape social media.

Yeah, post it to the Star Wars X-Wing Ohio Group, and the COXwing Central Command groups. Most of the established places for X-Wing in Columbus are currently, Ravenstone Games (Tuesday) for the weekly league, The Guard Tower, Beyond the Board, and the Soldiery (Thursday nights).

With that said the group is typically always looking for places to play and tournaments to participate in.
