Just aquick question, if a squadron is barely touching an obstacle is it obstructed from all attacks at all angles?
Squadrons and obstacles
No only if the line of sight goes through the obstacle. For squadrons this is a line from the centre of the shooter to the centre of the target.
If 2 squadrons are touching and the point of contact is on an obstacle then they are both counted as obscured when they shoot at each other.

Not Quite.
The Line is easily drawn center to center, but its not actually the case... Essentially, the "Yellow Dot" for Line of Sight on Squadrons, is the *closest Point* of the Squadrons Base to the Target...
This can lead to situations where the center peg of a squadron is on an obstacle, but the outside is Not - and if you are shooting that way, the squadron is not obstructed.
Geometrically speaking, drawing LOS to the Center Peg is an easy way to do it... But the line stops at the base edge.
RRG, Page 7, "Line of Sight"
• When tracing line of sight to or from a squadron, trace the line using the point of the squadron’s base that is closest to the opposing squadron or hull zone.
Sorry that's what I meant.
The two closest points between 2 circles are also on a direct line joining the centre of those circles. But yes if there is some part of an obstacle on that line between the base edges.
An easy, geometrically correct way to do it is simply measure center post to center post, and disregard any portion of obstacle that is covered by the squadron base. This method measures the same LoS as measuring point-to-point, is easier, and is more precise.
Worth noting, though, that the same is not necessarily the case when measuring between from squadron to ship, because you're not measuring between two circles.
