The Chains That Rust Expansion

By alboy, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Will there be rules posted for The Chains That Rust Expansion?

Yes, great Gandalf. Stay tunned!

Is there something specific you're looking for?

Well i know im looking for the cards for the watchman class. Lol

Thanks zaltyre.

l just wanted to read them.

My only disappointment with Chains that Rust so far - although a HUGE one (it made me swear as I opened the box as the first thing my eyes laid on) - , is that they threw in the FFG games catalog for winter 201 5 in it. Seriously. I was reaaaally looking for this 2017 edition to replace the 2015 one we have for toilet read.

Seriously, how can I get this thing? Can you subscribe to it somehow? It would have made my life perfect (and any guest as well).

EDIT: Maybe there's a conspiration to make us believe the GW propducts are still in the FFG catalog.

With all the Episode 7 content they're churning out it would likely do better as toilet PAPER at my house...

Yeah, I haven't been thinking about it much, and just been assuming that the boxes I've been getting are "old", but getting the Winter 2015 catalog in both MoB and TCtR was just bizarre.

We're starting to get into Winter 2016 here, and I would've expected there to be a Summer 2016 catalog too, so me and the missus had a good time making fun of this. We've got a nice little stack of Winter 2015 catalogs now. :D

Preach it. As much as I've always been a fan of Star Wars, it's unlikely I'll ever get the disposable income to even get half of what they're churning out for even one of the product lines. I've been considering getting Imperial Assault, but the rate at which it's expanding and with all the piecemeal content, it'd already be much more expensive than Descent 2nd Ed., despite Imperial Assault releasing in December 2014, less than two years ago, while Descent 2nd Ed. has been around since July 2012.

With FFG Asmodee's increasing tunnel vision, I hope they don't start trimming more than they already have. They've just lost their Games Workshop deal, after most of their Warhammer lines lingering in obscurity for quite some time, and seem to be pushing some of their core more and more into software territory (Descent with RTL, and canning core parts of Mansions of Madness with an app-driven 2nd Edition). I well and truly fear for the future.

The rules are still not available to read.

Most of what is in the CtR rulebook is in the mists rulebook (with the exception of hybrid classes).

Tainted cards, sludge terrain, crumbling terrain, elevation lines, and old walls are all found in the Mists of Bilehall rulebook. (Not saying they shouldnhold off posting the rules, but that you can read almost all of it by reading Mists.)

Is there anything in particular you were wondering about? They're late with putting up the rules .pdf, but if there's anything special, I'd be happy to fill you in.

As l said before l just want to read them.

Rules are still not up, come on FFG.

Yeah, this is actually becoming annoying, not to mention downright weird. Things like this are usually up really fast, but with The Chains that Rusts it's taking forever. Notably, I really want the print-quality campaign tracker(s).

Got mine yesterday. Yay! :P

At last it is available.

At last it is available.

See? Trust my word.
