Look at it this way. You have lots of time to assess the ships, get lots of build advice, and figure out from others what works and what won't. By the time Christmas rolls around you will be super-ready ![]()
Lucky you can, down in the land of Oz we wont get our interdictors and liberties until the 22nd, got my flotilla's as came out last week. Cannot understand why they don't release the same time here as the rest of the world. If they can for the the US and Europe and we are closer to China, why cannot we get this at the same time. My gripe is over.

I've had mine for a few weeks now.
Combat Company, Games Cube and Good Games has had them for as long as they have been out in the US more or less.
So far we have received Rebellion, Wave 3 and 4 at the same time as the US. Maybe the store you buy from is importing them from a US distributor?
Good Game Wollongong doesn't have it. Guess they are too focused on Magic to care about the rest of the market.
Even tried to set up a campaign there and was a resounding no, guess they like the income but not really supporting anything other than magic (scheduled events 3-4 times a week, nothing for anything else)...
Why not just try a monthly tournament?
I think a campaign may be a bit of a commitment.
There's a shop in my neck of the woods that is all about MtG too. Fortunately, their name literally implies that they are all about cards. So there's no lip service paid to the hobby as a whole while they're really just a niche specialty shop.
I wish more places would name themselves a little less vaguely so I never wind up walking into a "game" store which is really just an MtG store ever again. Walking in, looking around, and then having to explain that I don't give two figs about MtG is just awkward.
=) It's going to be a fun weekend!
Cuban, how is No Man's Sky going for you? Are you ready to be done with it and come back to Armada?
Also, RIP FFG and GW relationship.

Really? I'm in Australia, and not in a major city either - and my FLGS had wave 3/4 on the shelf the same day as the US
Yes indeed.. The "Problem" in Australia is Good Games...
Back when I was assisting Retailers back there, they were a problem there, too...
Great at organising their own stores at the Store level... But a very hit and miss distributor...
Odd, I was under the impression that my FLGS used GG as their distributor - and ever since the Asmodee thing, FFG products have been hitting the shelves in a most timely matter

Hence why its a Hit/Miss.
EVERYONE in Australia uses GG as a Distributor of FFG products. They are the Exclusive Distributor.
But if you're a Hit, then you're lucky.
Because it means you're not a Miss. Like others will be.

Not sure if FFG is the slapper or Slappie but something went a miss.
I mean, information is preciously horded on this matter. No-one save the negotiators at GW and FFG would know. Everything else is conjecture.
Best speculation I've seen is the upcoming release of RuneWars. Hard for GW to be funding a direct competitor.
It IS a happy friday! We even got a Bat Rep forum!
Friday Night shift over. 6 days out of 7 worked, and all nights.
Glad to have a day off.
I only got into gaming a few years ago. (It was around the time wave 3 of x wing was released.) So I didn't know the market very well. I was at a strip mall with some friends and saw a store called Games Workshop. None of them were interested in going in, so I came back later. I quickly looked around the store. They had some Lord of the Rings games and other fantasy games that didn't interest me. The clerk walks up to me and asks if there is anything he can help me with. I ask,"Do you have Star Wars Armada?" He looks confused, so I add,"By Fantasy Flight Games". He immediately responds with,"NO! We do not carry that here." He proceeds to tell what sort of games they do carry and asks me if there is anything else he can help me with. I politely responded that there wasn't and left. On the way home, I'm wondering why this place is averse to carrying FFG games. "Their a big company in the novelty gaming world, right? I've seen some of their games at Target!", I think to myself. Shortly later I recall that Games Workshop is a brand!

This is great.
