I recommend fly what appeals you.
Looking -totally non-objectively - at:
2 Arc170 cause they are gorgeous, and I can paint the 2nd one in a slightly other totally-rustbucket-from-the-backyard-flies-again-patched-with-chewinggum-n-stuff ![]()
Maybe 1 Fang - more than 1 probably not worth fielding (and having lots of Khiraxz and 2 Scyk)
Maybe 1 SF just because finally a TIE which has a different flying style
Lancer - maybe later. Do not like pancakes, esp the look of that one. Hoping that the "bomb" turns eventually up somewhere else.
One of each, because I'm addicted. Then, after I've played with them, decide if I need more of any.
I'm not sure. What I'm thinking at this moment, though:
1 ARC
1-2 TIE/sf
0 Fang
1 Shadow Caster if I can get it on sale and can find a good place to hide it
I'm only planning on getting the ARC and Tie sf to start with. I mostly play Imperial.
Preach it brother!
uh... okay.
Imperials for life!!!

TIE SF has Shields, so what exactly are you saying here?

No silly, that is....

THE FIRST ORDER!!!!
Shadowcaster looks like the sleeper hit. Asajj is very good.
Sleeper hit? People are saying the Shadowcaster is the best of this wave before it even drops.

1x TIE/SF
1x Fang
1x Shadow Caster
The most optimal ARC builds thus far involve 2, and they're very good builds, mind you. Plus, extra copies of Vectored Thrusters are always nice.
1 TIE/SF because that's likely all you'll ever run at once.
1 Fang because i agree with fickle, they're good but they're overrated. You really only need one.
and 1 Shadow Caster because it's looking like a good ship, but it also has lots of really good looking upgrades in it too.
Myself, i'll just be buying 1 more ARC and a TIE/SF. When Rebels get ships with more illicit slots, i'll buy a Shadow Caster.
I just finished my final pre-order (I am primarily a rebel player, and I do a lot of casual play, mostly using my stuff.)
2 ARCs - I think the models rock. Plus seismic torpedo maybe useful, and vectored thrusters are a huge plus.
2 TIE/SF- They look overall ok, YAT (yet another tie). I get wired without another core set.
3 Protectorate- It is just about the ship and the pilots. I want to give my scum players some decent small ships to play with.
1 Shadowcaster- I am getting it for the goodies. The illicit stuff looks cool, and the IG88D crew will be awesome. The ship itself, I am pretty "meh" about. It looks like a generic creation from the video game SPORE. But it has another Veteran Instincts meaning I don't have to by another YT-1300 or Firespray.
Note you could prolly fly a single ARC with Biggs and Miranda
Tlt coverage allows you to fly with the ARC without getting some wonky formations going, as can happen with Biggs if you forget he's just there to die
Edited by ficklegreendice1 ARC, maybe a second one later on and 1 Tie/SF. I don't play scum so this should be a cheap wave for me.
I'm starting with one of each.
Though I had a ton of fun with a Quickdraw, backdraft, specialist and Wampa list on Vassal, so 3 TIE/sf down the line is not impossible.
I always try to buy a small ship at every local tournament to support the vFLGS, so it'll go up from 1 of each down the line. I preordered 1 of each for Wave 8 and now have 2 of each of those expansions. I preordered 2 imperial veterans, because I know my preferences, and the 3rd copy that my son won in a tourney has not been wasted!
Thanks for the feedback! I was having a hard time deciding if I should pick up the TIE/SF since I rarely ever see it one the forums. I do think I will pick one up, though, Backdraft does seem to have great potential. ![]()
Backseat is pretty great
I just dont use him much because he can only dice through lucky greens (though the juke x7 glaive and vess you can run with him tend to fare better there)
Edited by ficklegreendiceOne Shadowcaster. Two if you really want.
And that's it.
