Oppression sweeps across the galaxy; the light of freedom dimming more with every passing day. As the grip of the GALACTIC EMPIRE tightens, citizens begin to make the necessary sacrifices in order to simply see another sunrise.
But as the severity of the grip scales exponentially, so too does the scope of the ever present restlessness felt by the downtrodden. As serene remembrances turn to rallying cries, turn to militaristic action, some older memories recount the tales of the fabled JEDI ORDER and their failed quests for peace.
Long since forgotten, the FORCE moves in mysterious ways, and aboard a maximum security prison ship, hope and fate would see to it that in one cell waits the unrealized potential of five beings who are soon to hear the call of their FORCE AND DESTINY.

So this is a Force and Destiny Play by Post. Those are the players. I'm going to try and keep this down to one thread now; so we'll be rolling in the same post as the action it's tied to, okay?
Additionally -- and I'm stealing this from Blackbird in his Age of Rebellion game -- if you want or need to speak out of character, just toss that business into some quotes.
You find yourselves in your cell, built up within the confines of three solid walls, a bare floor and ceiling, and a rayshield to close it off. The shield hums constantly, stopping only when someone or something is deposited within the cell.
For some of you it has been weeks, others mere days, and the sights have not changed overmuch. The guards have not spoken to or around any of you, interacting only as much as needed in order to drop off your food and water each day. From within the confines of the cell you can see other cells built identically, each with one to seven people within. When one of your fellow prisoners have attempted to speak with the guards, they've been introduced to the electrified floor.
Occasionally a prisoner is taken from their cell, marched past your cell and out of sight. While a few handfuls of people have made this long walk, none have returned.
It has been several days since the last of you was introduced to your new home within this prison. The entire structure shakes and trembles, and the guards in the hall give one another a look through their helmets before they jog off out of sight. Again the structure shakes, this time more violently than before, and within a few moments the lights blank out, only to be replaced with a much more Spartan emergency light system. The red glow of each rayshield casts stark shadows across the interior of the cells they seal.
Men in uniforms, armored and armed figures dart past your cell, followed in time by robed figures baring red glowing lightsabers moving at impossible speeds.
Coming from the direction those soldiers ran toward comes shouting, and a hail of blaster fire rockets past.
Suddenly silence falls. Down the darkened hallway, moving quickly, comes a squadron of mercenaries, some wearing old military uniforms, others baring the winged seal of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. To your cell comes a man clad in blackened armor, with tall horns jutting through the top of his helmet. Over his body armor he wears a waist length bomber-style leather coat. Expressionlessly he stares into the cell at you. After a few seconds he reaches into his utility belt and removes a plasma cutter, which he promptly uses to short out and destroy the control panel for your rayshield.
When the shield falls he replaces his tool in its compartment, removes his helmet slowly to reveal a tired looking Gotal. "Well, come on then."
