Are those guns on the ARC as 'fragile' as the nose turret guns on the K-Wing? One of my K's is now officially more superglue than laser gun at the front!

the s-foils are also worryingly bendy
so I just kept the original plastic packaging and carry them around in a backpack along with my Ks

That's exactly what I intend to do with mine... Still hasn't stopped me dropping my K-Wings nose first onto the table top three times now. I've been lucky so far and been able to find the tiny, tiny, tiny little laser cannon end that always snaps off. But, sooner or later... Sooner or later!
