By Schyzo Kitty, in X-Wing

Engine upgrade + Autothrusters anyone?

I misunderstood this at first as well. The second mod is in addition to the smug comp mod

Sadly no. You get an extra mod, because smuggling compartments is a modification itself. So you still only get one 'functional' one.

There's a lot of people who seem to think these combos are possible. They aren't.

Smuggler's Compartment is a Modification that gives an illicit slot.

Smuggler's Compartment takes up your mod slot.

However, it allows you to equip a mod that is 3 or less points (No engine/shield upgrade).

Smug Computer isn't a double mod. It's an illicit slot and a <3 points mod.

Where does one acquire these "love points"?

Because it doesn't seem to specify that you need to equip a different mod, could you equip 2 smug compartments?

And a functional one is not EU

Thank you, FFG, for making sure Boosting PWT-fest is not coming back

You have to use the Snuggling Compartment mod not the Smug Computer for those.

I just realised it's a mod o.O for some reason I thought of it as title or something...

100 points in a single ship and soo much glitterstim.

Wait, wouldn't a smug compartment just be full of itself?

Where else would electric car owners keep all their smugness?

You may have been confused by such "Titles" (and I use the term loosely) as "Pivot Wings" and "Adaptive Ailerons".

"Sir, we've finished building your ship."

"Looks great, how's the flappy wing feature?"

"I'm sorry, sir, we were unable to include that."

"That's a shame."

"Do you have a name for her yet, sir?"

"I think I'll call her the 'Pivot Wing'."

Smuggling compartment: now with more smug!

Really we're just getting combos Scum could already do, so I don't know how exciting this could be, I'm more looking forward to the illicit slot on Sabine's TIE.

Rebels can put a Munitions Failsafe on a Hot Shot Blaster in case we miss (but is silly on PWTs unless you're running a 2400 without the title).

Feedback Array + Ion Projector can be fun, especially combined with a 1-forward on either YT. Feedback on Dash will be handy to close the donut hole, but he'll have to sacrifice Engine Upgrade to use it.

Inertial Dampeners is handy for any large-based ship, and everyone likes Glitterstim. BMST will be handy on a YT blocker.

And therein lies the problem. The Falcon and Outrider both really love their EUs. Chewie and Leebo make use of it less due to their lower PS so there may be some mileage for these pilots. But with Dash, Rey and Han, it is hard to see past the possibilities of a repositioning move, especially on Rey with her need to keep things in arc.

There's always Leebo crew. You could probably do worse than to equip Cassian crew as a way to adjust arc. Right now, though, I'm sort of feeling like I might try flying Rey like I fly Defenders, straight at the other ships and make them work to get out of MY arc, and try to take advantage of the actions they spend doing so (if they even can).
