Lone Wolf/Rebel Han's ability doesn't actually synergize that well with Finn.

Yes, you get a blank, but it only helps you if you didn't roll a blank in the first place. For 5 points i'd want something a little more general.

It really depends on the ship but I do think his costing is probably done with some future-proofing in mind.

Yeah...aside from Lone Wolf in the super valuable EPT slot, which like, you then have to base your whole list around, I see like...Ibtisam with PtL clocking in around 37pts? So then you like...have the firepower of a Ghost with 8 less HP and 2 more agility, and very limited mobility? Hrm....pass.

What really hobbles Finn is the arc restriction, the falcon works by boosting out of arc if it's jousting it's dead with TB and crackshot in rotation.

Your just use those sloops to get arc and be out of arc.

Sloops makes it worse because then you've got no evade action, also if it's carrying Finn you don't want to be at range one so you keep your distance eliminating the chance it'll be out of arc.

I've never lost to brobots with HLC so a falcon with Finn won't trouble my defenders.

Rey with Cool Hand, Kanan Jarrus, Finn, with new Falcon Title.

Rey performs a White 3 Bank.

Title kicks in to rotate 180 and gain a stress.

Cool Hand kicks in to deliver an Evade Token.

Kanan Removes the stress.

Normal Action takes place to add a focus or Target Lock.

Turned to face the opponent, so Finn adds an extra blank Die to primary attack and defense.

At range 1 you have 4 rolled and one blank dice for the attack. (Better than Brobots)

For defense, you have an evade token, a rolled dice, plus one blank die - which Rey can reroll.

More Fun? Add Smuggling Compartment, Glitterstim, and Countermeasures to flip all those pesky focus results and add one to the agility for another Evade dice to roll to help with incoming range 1 attacks.

Granted, Cool Hand, Glitterstim and Countermeasures are used in that turn, but the potential of up to 5 hits and 4 evades at range 1 with the Falcon is Glorious...

Would we be more willing to use this version of Finn more places if he simply added a blank attack die and the defense portion wasn't there? Because right now we're staring at a card where like, it's really hard to use both sides of the utility.

If this crew upgrade only applied to primary weapon attacks and they dropped the defending piece, would we be more willing to accept it as viable increase to attack power for 5pts?

If not, what would be the reasonable price to pay for an extra blank attack die, that you could reroll into something real? 4pts? Would it be too good at 3pts?

I am kind of in love with the fact that if it were cheaper and attack only, it'd make Finn a terrible gunner type crew who like, you had to do extra work to make effective. Stormtrooper shooting, as someone else cleverly pointed out. Good times.

I think most of the discussion is on his offense because the defensive half is even more situational given the fewer ways to use blank green rolls.
