If the Emperor had a Text-to-Speech Device - Episode 1: Adorable Centurion

By TheWanderingJewels, in Dark Heresy General Discussion

The Adepts of the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Adeptus Custodes have managed to Jerry-Rig a Text-To-Speech device to The Golden Throne. The Emperor Awakes....and Things do not go well

I've been watching these for awhile now. They are Hilarious!

It is a wonderfull series!

I am a fan

"Emperor's bulging biceps!"

The more I (re)watch, the more I like the High Lords, but Decius is probably my favorite (maybe). The series is much more interesting after

Magnus gets brought in by the Ultramarines.

The show is a great bit of fun; a nice mix of actual 40k stuff, with a nice addition of "do people actually take this fluff seriously? Have they read it?" Of course, as so often happens, I do wish they'd get a out a bit of new content, but I accept that it takes a while to make, so I'll wait. As a big Magnus fan, I'm also glad he's getting some attention. I get surprised when maybe-Constantin makes comments about having been around, all these millennia, but then still not remembering various things he probably should have been there, for; it's sort of like watching Demolition Man, and seeing people old enough to still remember Spartan's original time, but acting like it was a just a story, and maybe never actually happened. Eh, whatever, it's a fun show, and something I'll keep a eye on, for the next episode! ;)

Episode 19 warp grumblings is one of my faves.

The bit with the porn and the the heresy...

Inquisitor: " You know what? They are just running around shooting each other down there. Better just lay on the exterminatus on these heretics!" *furiously mashes "exterminatus" button* Briliant!

I'm glad that, practically right after commenting "I wish they'd make another episode", they did! I won't expect that to work, again, but it was nice, and a focus on some other characters was cool, too. Rogal Dorn is just Dorn, but it was kind of fun to see him get the bulk of an episode.

It does remind me that I wish the writers weren't quite so along with many fans, in what they say, so love the Space Wolves/Blood Angels, hate the Ultramarines/Grey Knights, which is the other direction from my own fandom, but oh well, if I haven't figured out that there are several distinct groups of 40K fans, after all these years, I've been under an Exterminatus-capable rock. ;) Very fun show, and one I go to check on frequently. it does, also, frequently remind me that i want the FW folks to hurry up with Magnus/Thousand Sons, Russ/Space Wolves, the Sisters of Silence, and the Custodes. I like the concept of Genestealer Cults, and can appreciate GW calling back to something that long ignored, but they can focus on things that don't wow me for so long, sometimes, and ForgeWorld is as good at it. It'll be cool to get to see stuff I actually WANT to see. Maybe they'll even make THOSE 1k Sons COMPETITIVELY PLAYABLE!

Done babbling. Looking forward to the next batch of cool characters T-to-S will introduce; maybe some more fun Primarchs, maybe Creed, if Abby is revving up for another Crusade. Please continue, show!!!
