Has anyone tried using the Star Wars Dice app from FFG in tournament play for Xwing? How'd it go? Is it even allowed?

It works fine and yes it is allowed.

But your opponents will hate you. I have never seen anyone use it. It's pretty universally regarded as a jerk move to use it as the perception is that it rolls better than real dice.
