Reasons to rage quit

By Jondavies72, in Star Wars: Armada

I do admit - I get a bunch wrong... But I do try to own it when I do...

But yes, we're straying now a bit from other reasons why... I think we've been able to clarify that I am just but one of many, after all....

...

I'm actually waiting for AdmiralNelson to message my Facebook again... it seems like its been enough time.

Granted, I am well aware, when it comes to rules... I am a Pedantic Arsehole..

And No, I very rarely have anything better to be doing - I'm at home with a 3 Year Old (who is now going to school for half the day), and I can't leave the house....

So I am passionate, because Armada is my one thing I get to do out of the house, once every 2 weeks....

Its not that people are thin skinned... I mean, I can't assign the blame there. The blame is on me.

If someone turns around and says "I am offended by what you said..."

I do not get to say "No, you're not."

Well said, though to me I can even fathom leaving a game because some person on a forum disagreed with me on something. Maybe when I was a bit young and thought forums where super important to my life, but now? Not as such. People disagree all the time, I'd be concerned if people started agreeing more. When people start agreeing is is when my worry hat goes on. :)

I am never wrong, as far as I can tell. I may also be my own biggest fan.....

Diverting from the very serious "nerd rage" support post.....

Dras in this case you are not responsible for other people's fealings. They have the choice to engage in debate with you or not. You are not randomly accosting people down the pub and picking a fight, your debating on a forum set up for that purpose.

I would go more for the.... I'm sorry you feel offended that I don't agree with you, would you like a nice game of chess in stead of debating on the rules forum.

Do this in the X-Wing Forum. OMG. I need some comedy right now. DO IT!

Let's set to it... What do we include ?

Tie swarms and trip jumps seem to set the old x wings off a treat.....

Palp Aces OP!

Reason to rage quit: spending too much time in the rules sub-forum.

Reason to rage quit

Mad Cat is starting to make me redundant in the fleet forum

Maneuver tool lagging in vassal ;)

Off topic. My friggin job right now.....

Gink the fact your played a GW have for three years is wrong

Don't forget Armada is Dead!

Maneuver tool lagging in vassal ;)

Not anymore! :D

There are no acceptable reasons to "rage" quit Armada. We have an incredibly well crafted game that is being filled out nicely and steadily by FFG.

In my opinion the only reason to quit is a financial one. And even then, your old ships will still put up a good fight.

Scum is OP and Warthog's need to be nerfed (y-wing, w/ BTL title and Twin-link Lasers) {Honestly I've only played like three x-wings games.... Armada for LIFE!}

I've seen one person quit because they couldn't afford to purchases the ships to play, even though everyone locally was willing to loan him theirs.

Mostly agreed. I think when it comes right down to it, there's really only one reason anyone rage quits, and that's:

1) They're a blubbering entitled idiot man-child incapable of or unwilling to moderate their emotions

There are many legitimate reasons to quit quit a game. That can be due to financial reasons, time reasons, or just falling out of love with the game itself*. Provided you go politely, I don't think any decent person can think less of you for it.

*I quit Warmachine for this reason and it was one of the best decisions I've made in my adult life. The actual explanation is much longer but that's what it boils down to anyways.

I quit Warmachine and Warhammer ( AoS is an abomination).... Along with FoW and a couple of others. Never looked back, used the money from sales to finance Armada and some costumes.

Sounds about right. I didn't like any of the communities for those games. And in my local meta, it was play a tournament level of play, or don't play at all. I like confrontational gamers like that....

I have had to quit 40K, but it was more time and local player base. It's mostly people to try to see how many super heavy or monstrous creatuers they can put on the table a once. My old meta when I was still in the Army was much more relaxed and fun. I do miss it and will still look sadly at my collection gathering dust.

I would SO supply the pints to dras at a pub just to watch him pick fights.....

Unfortunately, I'm one of those "Get Talkative about Secretive Pasts" kind of Drunks... Rather than an aggressive one.

What's your last name?

For one Drink...

I'll let you buy a Vowel....

This is the only acceptable response. I am hereby closing this thread.
