Custom Warrior Class: Cavalier

By BJZSN, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Finally, my final planned custom class. Took a while to get to this point. Anyways, the Cavalier is a warrior class that fights horseback. As an action, the Cavalier can become Mounted and gain various benefits from his skill cards. He can be knocked off by the Overlord and you gain no benefits while you are not on your horse so it is in your best interest to try and stay on. This is a WIP so this is not a completed class. Again, any input from the community is greatly appreciated.

Edit: Got the cards done up, here's the link, look for the Cavalier folder.

Straight of the bat: great idea for a class! I do have one suggestion, make the mount into a familiar of 1x2 spaces and his own familiar card with his own speed and health. This will make things a bit more complicated but also more fun, even for the OL. For example, knocking the cavalier on his mount combined with the fact that the mount must move away from the enemy that attacked it. Then you have a hero who is chasing his mount all over the map:p

Edit: The mount has stats! 0 for everything except willpower (3?), each time the hero is attacked it must make a test, if it fails it gets spooked and throws the hero of!

Ceasarsalad101 is right, it should be some sort of familiar and on each attack, the OL may spend a surge to make the hero dismount and the horse run away

LMAO, the most useless class in the entire game?

Yes, but it sounds very fun:p

Yes useless hero, but it sounds very fun:p

Next custom class: The One-Armed Jester.

Oh dear, adding things to my quote? Thank goodness I am not your teacher!

Jokes aside, if you have a class that relies on high risk- high profit I don't see anything wrong with that. I would call it rather challenging for the more advanced players:)

Taking another look at the Cavalier again. I haven't run this class through the game yet, so I can't say for the legitimacy of the starting skill, but going over the skills again, I gotta say that most are pretty good (from what I can see anyways). Here's some small changes I made.
