Help me decide for Tournament Saturday

Trying to decide on a final setup for a tournament this weekend and I am having trouble deciding between the two lists below.

Only difference is that one has VI on the Countess and Cluster missiles on Tomax and the other has Juke on the Countess and Plasma Torpedos on Tomax.

Hrm...Juke on a PS5 and a Glaive with no EPT are probably okay, simply because x7 Defenders are beefy but...maybe consider the following mix?

Tomax can unleash Homing Missiles at R2-R3 and Proton Rockets are R1, both of which get still be modified by their prerequisite action, as well a Crackshot and Guidance Chips. Vessary can piggyback off a target lock from Inquisitor or Tomax Bren for additional action economy, and gains the benefit of PS8. Inquisitor is action efficient and honestly, needs no introduction.
If you were in the market for some Tomax bombing and some Defender action, you might consider this. Just my two cents. Good times.

Honestly, this is just the version that retains Tomax. I think Tomax is fine, but he's a little pricey for what he brings to the table. I kinda like this version better, if we're willing to downgrade to a generic:

You lose out on the Crackshots and go from PS8 to PS5, but the upside is that both your weapons fire off of a focus token, which can still be used to modify the attack. That means if you're intending to shoot a PS9 target who moves after you do, you don't have to worry about what range it's going to land in. All you have to do is avoid bumping to take your focus token. Additionally, the Flechette Torpedoes make your arc a lethal place for Soontir or Inquisitor if they want to PTL, so they'll have to arc dodge you as though you were a stresshog or something. With the additional points we saved, Inquisitor gets PRockets too! Good times.

Sadly, I don't have Proton Rockets yet so that is not an option. And really my question was more about what would be better for the Countess, Juke or VI. The change on Tomax was to make room, point wise, for Juke.

Juke is far superior to VI on Countess, especially if she's in the x7. PS7 is nearly useless other than being up against brobots, imho. That being said, Vessery + VI in a D w/ Tractor beam is just gross.

I have flown Vessery with that setup once and it was definitely interesting. How about this as an alternate that puts Vess in there and replaces the glaive with OL:

Now everyone is an 8 with both OL and Tomax feeding Vessery a TL.

Do you have Homing Missiles? It's worth the extra point to use HM over Concussion Missiles to let you use your Target Lock again on the offense and deny the use of Evade tokens, especially since Crackshot + Homing Missiles can help you force damage through on Imperials. Just my two cents.

Yes I think I do, and I was trying to decide about the value of the 1 point init bid but yes the chance to reroll anything really bad, plus chips and crackshot should really hit hard. Thanks to everyone for the input.

Only have one juke, so can't use 2. Hadn't considered dropping the second defender down to delta, I will look at that as well.

Decided to go with juke Ryad and my original build since I had the most practice with it. Wound up 2 and 2 and in 8th out of 17 although I beat the guy that got 7th. First round could not have gone better since I won 100 - 0 going up against a Biggs, Wes, Coran list that was identical to the list that the guy that won the tournament had. But then lost to Palp Aces in second round, thanks in large part to a tactical error on my part at the beginning of the game, he ended up in third. Then lost to a party bus, double JM5K list but it was a lot closer thanks to me being able to take out one of the LM5Ks before he was able to fire any ordinance with it. Last round was against two X7 deltas and a decimator with fleet officer. That was a fun matchup and went down to the wire. Overall I did well enough, learned from a mistake and had a lot of fun playing my new favorite game with a bunch of great guys.
