Yet another reason to be upset at the TIE/SF

By bcons, in X-Wing

I would very much doubt that the 30 seconds that Poe possessed a /sf for would merit inclusion in the game, any more than the much longer period that the Tyderium was in Rebel hands did.

Sabine's TIE is a slightly different thing as it was owned long-term by the Rebels rather than used for a single mission.

Uh, it was totally just used for just a single mission.

So far ;)

Unless it got destroyed at some point and I didn't notice.

The /sf Poe stole was only in his hands for about a minute before it was wrecked, and the Tyderium IIRC got taken back by the Empire after it landed.

I still think the EU handled captured TIEs better than the kids show.

To the topic on hand, I don't play enough to care about the lack of originality with the new Disney canon. Yeah, no gunboat, but at least none of the Factions are Tau/Eldar stupidly powerful.

Renegades and Rogues box set, comes with E-wing and 2 Z-95 repaints, 40 bucks.

New pilots for:

E-wing

Z-95

Y-wing

HWK

(X-wing will get its own boxed expansion with 20 new pilots in Rogue Squadron Aces)

AND

Cards and cardboard for rebel/Resistence versions of:

Lambda with Tyderium title, Han and Chewie pilots

Phantom with Rookie One and (rue?) pilots

TIE/SF with Poe 8 and Poe 9 pilots.

Followed by Defenders of the Empire with two GUNBOATS with one Red striped and one Blue striped, and the GUNBOAT expansion single blister with Imperial Grey paint scheme.

While you're at it, get a title upgrade for the Punisher and a point reduction for both Rhymer and Jonus.

Except that it appeared only twice and got used for a single mission.

Not that I care, but keep it real, at least.

I think that this game has a long history of this kind of thing... The rebels probably will get a TIE/sf and a shuttle because the imperials got a firespray! Boba Fett is an imperial for less screen time than Poe flies a TIE/sf, and yet the empire magically has more firesprays than you can shake a stick at...

Here's another reason to be upset at the TIE/sf and by extension the ARC-170 - It's not out yet.

(At least where I am).

upset at the ARC? Heresy!

you should be upset at Biggs

GODDAMNIT, BIGGS!

those are two very stylish squads going at it. Makes me happy. :D

X-wings are some of the most phallic ships in the films! (Except for the Star destroyers which indicate someone is compensating for something) The empire's fighters tend to resemble ova, as well as their main battle stations looking like boobs. Strange.

The Empire got the Firespray because it was a cool, fan-favorite, canon design that released when we still had only two factions. Being as Boba Fett was hunting Han, it would be thematically wrong to put him in the same faction as Han. He was also working for Vader as well as Jabba. Thus, logic at the time dictated Boba (and therefore the whole Firespray expansion) should be Imperial.

The only precedent so far for Rebels or Imperials getting ships from a different faction is the Rebel TIE. While the Rebels share a few designs with Scum, the Rebel releases for Z-95s, HWKs and Y-wings (like the Firespray) came before we had a Scum faction.

If we ignore ships that were given to Scum via the Most Wanted set, are there any ships the have multiple factions besides Sabine's art project?
