So this came up in a 4 player mele game yesterday. On the opening round, 3 players flip Summer Harvest and the 4th player flipped A Noble Cause. One of the Summer Harvest players chose to go first. He choose the Noble Cause player's plot to gain +2 gold of his revealed gold value of 5 giving him a total of 7 gold. This is where it got confusing.
The next player with Summer Harvest said, "I'll choose the first summer harvest player and taking 7+2 gold = 9 gold. The third Summer Harvest player chose the 2nd receiving 9+2 =11 gold.
We debated for a while of whether this is the correct interpretation or if all 3 Summer Harvest players should have just received 7 gold. We got tired of arguing about it and just let them have their 7,9, 11 gold respectively and moved on. Did we do this right?
