64pts for fighters (Imperial): What would you take?

I have an Imperial fleet I am liking, using the Interdictor. However, I am thinking of what fighter complement to take with it. The idea of the list is to use the Intedictor to pin down the enemy and allow the ISD and GSD to wreak havoc with Vader's rerolls on double arcs at close range.

The fighter screen thus needs the main ability to hold back an enemy bomber swarm, then to be able to chip in as a backup to the ship fight as needed.

Here is the fleet:

Interdictor suppression refit, Vader, G8 experimental projectors, targeting scramblers, Interdictor title, tractor beams

ISD-1, XI7s, Relentless title, tractor beams

GSD-1, assault proton torpedoes, fire control team

Total points = 336, leaving 64pts for squadrons

I am leaning toward Advanced Gunnery, Fire Lanes and Intel Sweep for my missions.

So... what fighters would you guys take to support this fleet?

5 intercepters and a bomber

5 Advanced and change on a 'bid just in case.

Interceptors are too fragile to good rolls in my opinion. In my Interdictor lists, I've been using regular TIEs because they are essentially ablative armor. I only move the ones forward that are going to engage while the others hang out typically in the back arc of my Interdictor. They are there simply to eat up squadron activations, not to kill enemy squadrons.

2 Aggressors, 2 Interceptors and a Gunnery team on ISD1(or GSD2 instead of GSD1)? (It is an AS upgrade after all). Another interesting play may be to drop G8 to bump the Interdictor to a combat version.

Demolisher and 5 Tie Interceptors.

6 Ties and Howl, of course

8 TIE fighters

IG-88 and the rest on TIE Fighters.

TIE's are for numbers. IG-88 is for something good.

If youbcan get to 72 points you can so raider 1+ instigator and 2 tie advance

Demolisher and 5 Tie Interceptors.

I saw the GSD and assumed it already had Demolisher on it.

You really only have 54 points to play with, not 64. For 54 points, you can get 6 TIE Fighters to serve as a basic screen, leaving you 6 points to spend on goodies or a small bid.

Mauler, jump master and 3 advanced.

Mauler is just nasty for his points, a jump and 3 advanced will see him hopping around like a an over caffeinated wallaby. You even have 3 black dice for some anti ship fun.

Hope we get what they tie defender will have dice wise and price wise to see if it will be a viable option

Thanks for all the advice guys, some really good ideas. In a tournament, I think Demo is probably a good call. But the G8s/tractors pinning the enemy counter that - and I want to see if I can break my Demo addiction. Plus I will probably end up wanting engine techs too.

I am leaning toward the TIE swarm with a big hitter dropped in, or the Mauler/advanced combo looks fun.

Mauler for the points is going to net you more damage against a bomber ball like rhymer. Against rebels I think it is better to have quality- IG-88 is a great squad for that. either one benefit greatly dengar and at least 1 advanced as well.
