Fire Control Team question

By NairoD, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Hi

Sorry for ressurecting this topic but I'm in little confusion. In my home language translation is suggesting that APT and FCT combo is 100% legal (there is a hot discusion about it).

Is this legal or not? I ask because our nationals are comming and I want to know it. I run a Raider spam list and this combo is HUGE handicap to me.

Cheers

What do you mean legal or not?

You can definitely trigger APT and then get the standard critical effect on top of that.

The only real issue is if you can do both XX-9 and standard crit (due to the wording on of said critical effects).

Still no answer. I'd try to find out who will be TO for your nationals, and ask them what interpretation they'll be using. :(

It's starting to get PRETTY LAME!

@GreenKnight:So in situation when I have black and blue dice attack I'm able to score 2 face up damage cards without damaging shields?

Noooooooo.

You may trigger APT with a black crit tocause one face up damage card.

You may then trigger the standard crit effect to flip the first card dealt to the hull face up. You may not do this if you do not damage the hull but instead the damage is taken by the shields.

You cannot trigger APT twice as they are not different crit effects.

@GreenKnight:So in situation when I have black and blue dice attack I'm able to score 2 face up damage cards without damaging shields?

Absolutely not.

What it means is you can A) trigger your APTs, do your faceup. Then B) trigger standard crit, which means that if damage reaches hull, the 1st card is faceup.

OK
