Hey all,

Just picked up a Lamda shuttle a couple days ago. I have always liked the look of this particular ship and I would like some ideas on what builds people use them on, minus Palp Aces. I don't have Palpatine and probably won't. So any ideas? Thanks in advance.

A build I had fun with was this one:

Soontir Fel +Autothrusters +Stealth+Title

Night Beast + Twin Ion Engine

2x Academy Ties

Omicron Pilot + Darth Vader crew.

Academies block and Night Beast is harder to kill coming in with a focus and evade. Soontir flanks and provides a late game

finisher. 99 points for initiative bid.

Expect shuttle to provide a sacrificial Death, but is typically able to kill something worth more than itself.

Here's a list of options I have run on my space cow:

Tractor Beam (fun but not awesome)

Ion Cannon (not great)

Tactician (decent)

Darth Vader (aggresive)

Intelligence Agent (really liked this)

Palpatine (duh, lol)

Fleet officer- works alright especially combined with...

Electronic Baffle (a shuttle that can turn around) or..

Advanced Sensors (plan greens, bump your own ships and always have action)

Tactical Jammer (got a spare point and don't need a bid?)

Ion projector (hilarious with palpatine, good otherwise)

Anti-pursuit lasers (never worked as well as ion projector for me)

Systems officer (the range restriction hurts, but great when it works)

HLC (was great, but that was 5 waves ago)

Rebel captive (really discouraged shooting the lambda)

Mara Jade (blocker with a large base)

Sensor Jammer (keeps it alive longer if it is really important to your list)

All of these use the generic, but if you have specialized needs for your support the named pilots have some niche abillities. It's a great ship and an excellent support piece. Never underestimate its guns either, I've gotten more kills with it than I can count because it has 3 dice and shoots last typically (when all the defensive tokens are used up).

My friend loves running Lambdas. He typically does what he calls his Mad Cow build which includes advanced sensors and engine upgrade. It really opens up the limited movement of the Lambda. Sadly I can't pick his brain for the builds he's done, though I think he tends to use Jendon or the base pilot. I believe he often throws an HLC on there. Can't remember if he PTLs or not. Been a while since I played him.

Doomshuttle (Vader crew, 24 pts total) used to be really popular before Palpatine came along. With all those Aces running around it might even be more useful today than back in the day. Plays quite differently than Palp-shuttle because you actually want to be aggressive with the Doomshuttle, some might say it´s a more exciting style of play.

Doomshuttle is the way to go if you don't palp

It just gets the most work done before the ship starts uselessly listing away from the fight

Throw it in with ordnance bombers to help mop up late game that lucks out of your ordnance

A friend of mine does pretty well with a doom shuttle escorted by Echo and Whisper. He uses the shuttle as a blocker/flanker, and it is a threat that can't be ignored, except for the fact that Echo and Whisper also can't be ignored.

I enjoy this list from time to time. Stupid fragile, so it takes some practice. But it can also lay down some pretty amazing damage.

Yeah, that's pretty close to my buddy's list. Except I think he has Adaptability and Intel Agent on Whisper instead of VI. It is tough!

3 shuttles with ion cannons and advance sensor and a epsilon leader running into one. all of them do stop menuvers or run into each other. I call the list blue milk. No need to fly anything just let your opponents come to you.
