Not sure if anyone asked about this but i have a slight problem.

One of my players wanted to know what is that crystal they got (kyber crystal).

He failed lore test but rolled triumph and advantage? So what should i tell him?

I was thinking that maybe only that this crystal was part of jedi religion. Or maybe that it was used in some kind of weapons. We play in time of rebellion (between 4 and 5 episode) and jedi lore is almost non existent. PC don't know anything about jedi other than name of the order

None, but in his research he found mention of an old hermit on planet X that knows crystal stuff like awesome...

They couldn't find the answer by exhausting their sources, but they have an idea where they could look next. But it would take a detour to go there and look for answers (an adventure, in other words). Or it can be as simple as a few boost dice on a future attempt.

The success can be cancelled but the Triumph result always stands.

Yes but each success and failure cancel each other. So when in this current example when a player roll triumph, success and 3 failures he failed the test but still have triumph

I think i will go with this idea. He knows that info about stuff like that can be found in university on Eriadu where he studied for a while. He knows a few people there and know that archives are full of information. Only some of it legal in eyes of the empire.
