Works great right up until it explodes kn the second round of taking fire. Or you get behind it.

Are you talking about the YV-666?

If so, you're saying you're doing 12 points of damage + whatever the YV-666 rolls with its 1 defense dice in two rounds? With what ?

The vesery D + Ryad PTL /7 + one /7 does 7.875 damage per Turn to that YV-666. At range 2. At Range one you do on average 10.25 Damage and have a reasonable chance to party poop in a single turn.

The more defensive Vessery + Ryad + Onyx full /x7 list does still over 13 damage on average within two turns to a 1 agility ship even with a defensive focus token. No big deal.

Even Soontir, Inq + Palp do it actually and we all know that Soontir's offense is on the weaker side of things for a 35 point ship. Though it is so close with just 12 damage on average that you not expect that result as variation should be high enough to bite you in nearly 50% of the cases.

In general I think you misunderstand how vastly your damage gets improved from having focus + target lock especially against one or zero agility targets. . :)

The hypotheticals in this thread are pretty staggering... I wish I could fly like these statistics say I should be able to fly. Not taking shots or stress, not bumping and having unhindered rear-shots on the same target for multiple rounds, getting statistically average or above average rolls! lol In my experience, things never go this well... Guess I'm unlucky!

That might be the case, iirc I killed Bossk in my last tournament indeed in two turns shooting with the Mynock special . It was a clear piloting mistake of my opponent to run straight into my guns with just the Party Bus, I guess he did not thought I would completely ignore his flankers and finish Bossk before the flankers even get a shot.

No unhindered rear shots at the other hand, a good flanking ship rarely as issues with that really. It the ship which the enemy goes after which has imho more trouble about that. ;-)

Yeah - clearly the Party Bus isn't a real threat. Who knew? Wish I knew this during a couple of my recent matches.

I doubt we'll see it at any final tables or top 4's

That is not what anyone said. It just that you can not fly it into the middle of a joust, especially not alone and expect it to survive against joust optimized lists like defenders or scouts. The ability combos possile are downright nasty and 12 hp are nothing to sneeze at in the late game either.

I don't know - I've heard more than twice that I should be able to take a YV-666 off the board in two rounds of shooting.

That's what I'm keying in on, cause I want that thing off the board.

The ability to take it off the board in tworounds (which as many of us have said is easily doable) says nothing balut wherher its good or bad, or even the first target. If youre flying a party bus you either do so knowing itll go doen fast, with the goal of maximizing damge done before you die, or you take another ship or ships that are as big a threat or bigger so your opponent wants to shoot those first i stead of the bus. Thats not always hard to do since the bus is a terrivle late game option (if its your last ship and opponent gsts behind you, its game over).

As for The ability to actulaly kill a bus in 2 rounds, Ive done it multiple times, including with my tiple defenders. And in that list its not relying on average dice. Its running double modifiers + juke against a single agility target.

3 ships with 3 red dice each easily can do that. The expected damage of 3 red + focus token against 1 green is 1.88, so in 2 turns the overall expected damage is 11.28.

I have been flying Moralo 88 a lot and i like it a lot,(even though IMO its a handicapped bots list with a couple fun quirks, which i already run) but i just wanted to state something that i have personally experienced.

I have personally killed a YV-666 in two rounds with my VI bots list, And i have personally had my YV-666 killed in two rounds by a VCX+Dash list.

It is very possible and not at all hypothetical. Lots of other lists can achieve it.

Noted. I cede the point. The YV-666 is killable in two rounds and is not difficult by any stretch of the imagination.

Without Manaroo, he wouldn't have had the focus to convert those attacks into hits.
